  • Patent number: 9841362
Abstract: An apparatus for fatigue testing an article includes a base having a platform for receiving an article to be tested, a shaft extending toward said platform for applying a force to said article, a coupling assembly connected to said shaft, said coupling assembly comprising a joint that pivots about an axis, and flex pivots disposed to be aligned with said axis about which said joint pivots.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 20, 2015
Date of Patent: December 12, 2017
    Assignee: TA INSTRUMENTS-WATERS L.L.C.
Inventors: Alan McMullen, Jason Lusk, Troy D. Nickel
  • Patent number: 9322102
Abstract: A method and device for facilitating maintenance of an anode of a marine engine cooling system, the device including a plug for an anode that has a detachable component with a threaded end for mounting to a threaded bore of a cooling system structure, a connector that holds the anode, at least one channel communicating with the cooling system and a sealing mechanism for sealing the channel from the cooling system, the sealing mechanism including a sealing element having an opening through which the anode may pass and being biased to seal against the anode and to close the opening to seal the channel when the anode is not present in the channel. The method permits changing the anode while preventing or minimizing water from exiting the cooling system of the marine engine.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 11, 2012
Date of Patent: April 26, 2016

  • Patent number: 9115430
Abstract: A method and device for facilitating maintenance of an anode of a marine engine cooling system, the device including an anode for use with an anode plug such as, for example, an anode plug that has a detachable component with a threaded end for mounting to a threaded bore of a cooling system structure, and a connector that holds the anode, the anode having an indicator for indicating a condition of the anode which is indicative of a need to replace the anode The method permits changing the anode by removing and/or reinstalling an anode while preventing or minimizing water from exiting the cooling system of the marine engine.
