  • Patent number: 11585790
Abstract: A sample may be prepared and then analyzed using a liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry system to determine presence and concentration of herbicide(s) present in the sample. In some examples, the method involves providing a sample containing one or more herbicides and adding a base to the sample. The base may increase the pH of the sample to ?12, thereby hydrolyzing esters of the one or more herbicides. The method may further involve, subsequent to hydrolyzing the esters of the one or more herbicides, adding an acid to the sample so as to lower the pH of the sample to ?3. Once prepared, the sample can be injected into a liquid chromatography instrument to separate the herbicide molecules from other molecules present in the sample before being ionized and characterized by mass-to-charge ratio and relative abundance using one or more mass spectrometers.

  • Publication number: 20210150468
Abstract: Methods and systems for managing attribute data for shipping and handling within a retail supply chain are disclosed. Item attributes of new items are recorded upon first receipt at a distribution center and are stored in a local database. This attribute data is synchronized to a centralized database. Data from the centralized database is pushed out to other distribution centers. The use of a centralized database of item attributes streamlines the process of inputting data for new items. This database is accessible by multiple systems with the supply chain to determine how the items should be processed. A pathfinding system utilizes item attribute data and facility data to determine a processing route for each item passing through a distribution facility.

  • Patent number: 10348851
Abstract: A first server receives a request for a file from a first client device. The first server determines that the file is not fully available in a cache that is available to the first server and receives at least a portion of the file from a second server. While the file is being received, the first server writes data of the file to a temporary cache file as it is being received; streams the file to the first client device from the temporary cache file; receives a request for the file from a second client device; and streams the file to the second client device from the temporary cache file without waiting for the requested file to be fully received at the first server and without transmitting an additional request for the file to the second server.

  • Patent number: 10064483
Abstract: A support device adapted for improving the ergonomic support for the arm and wrist and forearm of a user of computer-related input devices is provided. The support device may include a body interconnecting a base to two spaced apart wing supports oriented at latitudinal and longitudinal support angles relative to the supporting surface on which the devices slides. Each wing provides waterfall edges along its periphery. The void between the wing supports, the supine triangular shape, and the waterfall edges facilitates a more neutral position of the forearm and wrist supporting between the two wing supports, reducing pressure points there along, and avoiding direct pressure to the carpal tunnel canal and mid-forearm regions that house anatomical structures that may be impacted by high pressures. The latitudinal support angle can be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 10012549
Abstract: A device, system and method for remotely determining the temperature and orientation of at least one medium is provided. The device may form a body adapted to penetrate a medium, wherein the body houses a thermal sensor, an accelerometer sensor, a gyroscopic sensor, each electronically connected to a wireless transmitter extending from the body. The plurality of sensors may be adapted to determine the continuous temperature, relative position and orientation of the penetrated medium, all relative to time, while the wireless transmitter is adapted to transmit the plurality such determinations to at least one remote device. The resulting system enables a user to remotely monitoring a level of doneness for a plurality of media in terms of their respective temperatures, orientations, and positioning relative to the time spent on or in at least one heating element.

  • Publication number: 20160066685
Abstract: A support device adapted for improving the ergonomic support for the arm and wrist and forearm of a user of computer-related input devices is provided. The support device may include a body dimensioned and adapted for maintaining two support pads spaced apart along a shared horizontal axis so as to form a predetermined void along said horizontal axis and at a predetermined vertical distance above a supporting surface. The predetermined void prevents direct pressure to a carpal tunnel canal region of a supported wrist and forearm. The support device provides a low-friction base for sliding along the supporting surface for maintaining wrist and forearm support as the user transitions between input devices.
