  • Publication number: 20240117311
Abstract: The instant disclosure is directed to methods for generating stem cell-derived immune cells with enhanced function. Disclosed herein are methods for modifying a stem or progenitor cell capable of differentiating into an immune cell to inhibit the function of at least one gene selected from DGK? and DGK?, and directing differentiation of that stem or progenitor cells towards enhanced immune cells. Also disclosed herein are immune cells or stem cells made by the present methods, as well as the use of immune cells in therapeutic treatment.

  • Publication number: 20230009232
Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods for producing immune cells with enhanced function. More specifically, disclosed herein is a method for enhancing the function of an immune cell comprising modifying an immune cell to inhibit the function of at least one gene selected from the group consisting of RC3H1, RC3H2, A2AR, FAS, TGFBR1, and TGFBR2. Also disclosed herein is a method comprising modifying a stem or progenitor cell capable of differentiating into an immune cell to inhibit the function of at least one gene selected from the group consisting of RC3H1, RC3H2, A2AR, FAS, TGFBR1, and TGFBR2. Also disclosed herein are immune cells or stem cells made by the present methods, as well as the use of immune cells in therapeutic treatment.

  • Publication number: 20100266552
Abstract: A method of cellular therapy for a lung disease or condition in a subject is disclosed, wherein the method involves the administration of multipotent epithelial stem cells derived from amnion tissue (AECs). In a particular application, the method is used for the treatment of lung diseases and conditions such as chronic lung diseases including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), acute lung conditions such as acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and ventilator associated lung injury (VALI).

  • Patent number: 6875607
Abstract: The present invention relates to undifferentiated human embryonic stem cells, methods of cultivation and propagation, production of differentiated cells and in particular the production of human embryonic stem cells capable of yielding somatic differentiated cells in vitro, as well as committed progenitor cells capable of giving rise to mature somatic cells and uses thereof. The present invention also provides a purified preparation of undifferentiated human embryonic stem cells capable of proliferation in vitro. Furthermore, the present invention provides a somatic cell differentiated in vitro from an undifferentiated embryonic stem cell. There is also provided a committed progenitor cell capable of giving rise to mature somatic cells.

  • Publication number: 20030143737
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to neural stem cells, preferably foetal neural stem cells and their progeny thereof. The present invention provides methods of isolating, culturing and propagating neural stem cells preferably foetal neural stem cells and the development of neural stem cell lines and lineages. The present invention also relates to the use of neural stem cells and somatic cells (eg rat fetal fibroblasts) and cells expressing the telomerase catalytic component (TERT) for gene targeting and gene knockout experiments and for producing genetically modified animals.
