Abstract: The present invention is embodied in a jewelry display apparatus having a jewelry holder with means for grasping a circular object from at least two points along an interior circumferential wall and mechanically connected by an articulation device to a base. The jewelry display base includes an object having a mount for supporting a jewelry holder stand on a planar surface and at least one light source embedded in the object for directing light out away from the surface.

Abstract: A method and system for automated identification of pre-printed forms, based on the location of a mark made manually on the form. The method comprises the steps of identifying the existence and location of a mark made manually on a form and identifying the pre-printed form based on the location of the mark. The system comprises a digitizer and a pre-printed form comprising one or more pre-printed indicators unique to the form indicating where a user is to enter one or more identifying marks. The digitizer transmits image data to a computer processor, coupled to a database, including one or more digitized images of marks made on a form. The processor identifies the existence and location of one or more identifying marks made by the user, and identifies the form based on the location of said one or more marks.

Abstract: A preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a method for creating a database for a form-based data collection system, comprising the steps of receiving from a user a document comprising data regarding shapes or graphical objects associated with information comprising one or more of the following: data type, data field size, and field location; and populating a database from the information, using the data. Preferably, the shapes or graphical objects are dragged and dropped into the document. Typically, the document comprises a plurality of pages, and the method comprises creating a form using information associated with each page. In one embodiment, each form includes a form number. Typically, the form also includes a form identification bubble. Preferably, after the forms are created, they are emailed to the user. Software for performing the above steps in an automated manner is also disclosed.
