    Abstract: An animal toy having two end portions and a shaft releasably connectable between the two end portions has a treat-retaining portion located on the shaft. A method for adjusting a toy for an animal having a muzzle, front teeth and back teeth adjusts the distance between opposing end portions such that during chewing, the treat portion can only come into contact with the front teeth of the animal.
