Abstract: A press connection system comprises a press tool (50, 60), a fitting (1) and at least a first tube (2) of a first tube diameter (R13), the press tool (50) to act with force on a deformation zone (3) of the fitting (1). The deformation zone (3) is pressed either on first tube (2) of a first tube diameter (R13) or to a second tube (2) of a second tube diameter (R23), the second tube diameter (R23) being smaller than the first tube diameter (R13). Further, a press tool, inserts therefore and a tubing system and the use of these enable to connect tubes of more than one diameter to the fitting.

Abstract: A tool (20) for a pipe fitting arrangement in which a pipe is retainable arranged within a housing (1) by teeth (13) of a grip ring (12) placed within the housing, the tool comprising: first engagement means for engaging the pipe, said first engagement means having at least one part (12) adapted to enter the housing around the pipe in order to force the teeth of the grip ring out of engagement with the pipe, second engagement means for engaging the first engagement means as well as the housing in order to locate the housing relative to the tool, and a handle connected or connectable with the second engagement means. The first engagement means being connected to the second engagement means via at least one first joint being in form of a pivot (24f) and/or at least one first spring means (38) in order to be at least partly displaceable relative to the second engagement means, and a method using such a tool.

Abstract: A press fitting arrangement includes a sealing ring to be housed within a bead of a press fitting into which a tube is to be inserted. There is at least one gap between the press fitting together with the sealing ring and the tube which is closed by pressing at least one portion of the press fitting. The sealing ring has at least one first portion along the majority of its circumference. Each first portion of the sealing ring has an outside diameter (SOD1) prior to fitment into the press fitting bead which is larger than the inside bead diameter (BID) and an inside diameter (SID1) prior to the insertion of the tube which is less than the tube outside diameter (TOD). Additionally, the sealing ring has at least one pair of diametrically opposing second portions, each second portion of the sealing ring comprising a recess between the two projections.

Abstract: A device for forming a press-fit connection with a tube, the device including a socket for insertion of an end section of the tube. The socket includes a wall having at least a first section extending in axial direction, the first section having at least one annular bead providing a housing for at least partially accommodating a sealing element within the socket, and two second sections. Each second section is located immediately adjacent to a bead and commences at a position along an axis of the socket at which a magnitude of a derivative of an outside radius of the wall with respect to the axial position has a local minimum. In addition, each second section has, for every azimuthal position, an inside radius with a minimum at an axial position where the first and second sections terminate and the minimum radius of each second section is smaller than the inside radius at the axial position where the second section commences.

Abstract: A pipe fitting arrangement in at least one embodiment comprises a pipe, a housing defining at one end an opening for insertion of an end of the pipe, a metallic grip ring and a sealing ring downstream the grip ring in the insertion direction of the pipe, the location of both the grip ring and the sealing ring between the housing and the pipe being defined by the housing, wherein the grip ring is provided with a first amount of first internal teeth directed toward the pipe in a first direction with a first inclination in the pipe insertion direction for engagement with the pipe, and with a second amount of second external teeth directed towards the housing in a second direction with a second inclination away from the pipe insertion direction for engagement with the housing. Further disclosed herein is a method for forming such a pipe fitting arrangement.
