  • Patent number: 11303536
Abstract: Systems herein allow a customer to provision an enterprise mobility management system (“EMM”) in a cloud service. A provisioning server can provide a portal for the customer to input an indication of a number of computing devices that the EMM system will service. The customer can also specify an EMM application version. Based on this information, the provisioning server can determine how many servers to instantiate in the cloud service and install the appropriate EMM application. The provisioning server can also monitor the number of devices and automatically instantiate additional servers as needed.

  • Publication number: 20180345176
Abstract: A subsea oil over water storage tank, having one or multiple of high dynamic range, gas-liquid separators, which first receive oil well fluids, and cyclically depressurize and release free and solution gas to surface, and then expel unseparated liquids to the subsea storage tank, where the oil and water may be further separated by gravity separation, providing a means of separating stabilising crude oil.

  • Publication number: 20180327053
Abstract: The invention relates to floating offshore facilities, columnar in form, often referred to as spars comprising a body having an upper column, a main compartment and a lower leg joined together to define the spar, wherein the spar further comprises an articulation for connecting an end of the lower leg to the seabed, wherein the lower leg geometry has been configured as having a particular geometry that in combination with a particular residual buoyancy of the spar, and for any particular geometry of the upper column and main compartment and in any specific water depth, the spar provides a particular dynamic response to wind, wave and forces applied by sea currents. The invention also relates to methods for varying the dynamic response to wind, wave and forces applied by sea currents of the spar and to methods for transferring materials and personnel between a production facility such as the spar and at least one transportation apparatus such as a dynamically positioned vessel.

  • Publication number: 20150176764
Abstract: A tank for storage of hydrocarbon liquids on the seabed, being of double hull construction which is compartmented to form a plurality of chambers, such that the tank may be safely towed from its build location or shipyard, to offshore deployment location as marine warranty compliant vessel, having appropriate intact and damaged stability characteristics. There is also provided a method for deploying a tank for storage of hydrocarbon liquids on the seabed, the method comprising the step of towing the tank having un-ballasted storage areas and compartments to the location of deployment; flooding at least partially the storage area to achieve substantial neutral buoyancy of the tank to allow decent of the tank up to a submerged equilibrium; allowing decent of the tank to the seabed and injecting air into at least one compartment for maintaining equilibrium between the pressure applied by the surrounding sea and the pressure inside compartments and storage area.

  • Publication number: 20070251385
Abstract: Apparatus for reducing dust emissions from particulate commodities such as wheat or coal using a curved loading spoon connected to the discharge from a loading spout. The curved loading spoon turns particulate commodities delivered at a rate above a predetermined delivery velocity against a curved outer wall causing dust arising from the particulate commodities to be re-entrained within the commodities as they are diverted from a straight path by the curvature. Also described are an optional flap designed to rest just above the surface of the commodities stream adjacent the outlet, and a converging duct located upstream of the curve loading spoon and arranged to direct commodities against the curved outer wall adjacent the inlet.

Abstract: A heating apparatus is provided for use during a welding operation on a component. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a die having a cavity having at least a portion shaped to complement a first portion of the component and an opening providing a space through which a second portion of the component extends. A primary heating element is embedded in the die and generates heat upon being energized. A die temperature sensor is embedded in the die proximate the primary heating element and senses primary heating element temperature and supplies a temperature signal representative thereof. A component temperature sensor is embedded in the die, and senses a temperature of the component in the cavity and supplies a temperature signal representative thereof. A controller couples to receive the temperature signals and is operable, in response thereto, to selectively energize and de-energize the primary heating element.
