  • Patent number: 11953032
Abstract: A hydraulic pump or motor includes a mounting flange that is disposed at the first end of the housing. The mounting flange defines a pair of bolt receiving slots that are disposed along the X-axis on either side of the shaft. The pair of bolt receiving slots each define a radius center that are spaced away from each other a X dimension, and a pilot projection extends longitudinally away from the mounting flange, defining a pilot projection diameter. A ratio of the X dimension to the pilot projection diameter ranges from 1.1 to 1.5.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 9, 2021
Date of Patent: April 9, 2024
    Assignee: Caterpillar Inc.
Inventors: Justin Douglas Speichinger, Ramalho Stive, Darren Joseph Hopf, Aurelien Herve Bernard, Paul Alan Rousseau

Abstract: A hydraulic pump or motor includes a mounting flange that is disposed at the first end of the housing. The mounting flange defines a pair of fastener receiving apertures that are disposed along the X-axis on either side of the shaft. The pair of fastener receiving apertures each define a radius center that are spaced away from each other a X dimension, and a pilot projection extends longitudinally away from the mounting flange, defining a pilot projection diameter. A ratio of the X dimension to the pilot projection diameter ranges from 1.07 to 1.11.

  • Publication number: 20220252083
Abstract: A female mounting member is configured to mate with a hydraulic pump or fan. The member includes a body that defines a projection receiving cavity defining a cavity diameter, and a first threaded hole defining a first threaded hole diameter. A ratio of the cavity diameter to the first threaded hole diameter ranges from 8.0 to 8.15.

  • Publication number: 20140150880
Abstract: Flushing circuits for closed loop hydrostatic circuits enable overriding of the normal function of the flushing circuit during certain machine operational events where flushing can cause undesirable performance issues. The disclosed flushing circuits may prevent flow from leaving the flush valve, may prevent flow from leaving the flushing circuit, may prevent flow from entering the flushing circuit, may prevent the flush valve from shifting from a normally closed position to an open position or may replace the hydro-mechanical control of the flush valve with an electronic control. Cancellation of the flushing function may be commanded by a controller based on fluid temperatures, pressures, turning commands, engine speed, etc.

  • Patent number: 7707829
Abstract: A flushing system for a transmission is disclosed. The system has a first pump and a first actuator connected to the first pump to form a first loop. The system also has a second pump and a second actuator connected to the second pump to form a second loop. The system further has a charge pump configured to replenish the first and second loops. The system also has a single charge relief valve situated to receive fluid from the first pump, the second pump, and the charge pump.

  • Patent number: 7690198
Abstract: A drivetrain for use in a mobile vehicle is disclosed. The drivetrain may have a housing, a first hydraulic pump connected to the housing, and a second hydraulic pump connected to the housing. The second hydraulic pump may be in axial alignment with the first hydraulic pump. The drivetrain may also have a first motor fluidly connected to the first hydraulic pump, and a second motor fluidly connected to the second hydraulic pump. The first and second motors may have an axial direction substantially perpendicular to the axial alignment of the first and second hydraulic pumps.
