  • Publication number: 20240138924
Abstract: A first ultrasonic beacon transmission includes a first pilot signal and a first encoded information signal. An apparatus may detect the first pilot signal and decode, based on the first pilot signal, the first encoded information signal to identify a medical system associated with the first ultrasonic beacon transmission. Based on the first encoded information signal, the apparatus may enter into a first pairing state in which the apparatus is communicatively paired with the medical system. While the apparatus is operating in the first pairing state and within a threshold time of entering the first pairing state, the apparatus may detect a second pilot signal included in a second ultrasonic beacon transmission, which also includes a second encoded information signal. Based on the detection of the second pilot signal within the threshold time, the apparatus may continue operating in the first pairing state without decoding the second encoded information signal.

  • Publication number: 20230057639
Abstract: A device pairing system is configured to determine that an auxiliary device detects an ultrasonic beacon emitted by a beacon generator and identify, in response to the determination that the auxiliary device detects the ultrasonic beacon, a medical system associated with the ultrasonic beacon. The auxiliary device is further configured to communicatively pair, in response to the identification of the medical system, the auxiliary device with the identified medical system.

  • Patent number: 10206751
Abstract: A robotic system comprises a joint position controller and a manipulator having coupled together housings. The manipulator is adapted to hold and manipulate a device. Motors for actuating corresponding degrees of freedom of the device and sensor processing units for sensing and converting states of the motors into digitally transmittable information are housed in one or more of the housings. A remote current controller is housed in a different housing than the one or more housings for space and/or heat considerations. The remote current controller generates drive signals provided over individual signal lines to the motors by using motor commands provided by the joint position controller and by using the digitally transmittable information received from the sensor processing units.

  • Patent number: 9855107
Abstract: A medical robotic system includes a manipulator having links that form housings which are movable by motor actuated joints. Motors for actuating the joints and sensors for sensing states of the motors are housed in one or more distal housings formed from corresponding links or other structure(s) of the manipulator. A position controller is housed in a proximal housing and provides current commands for the motors to a remote current controller that is housed in an intermediate housing and generates drive signals for the motors by using the provided current commands and sensed states of the motors.

  • Patent number: 5910907
Abstract: An apparatus for, and method of, generating a k-bit pseudorandom number using m storage devices, m being less than k, is provided. The apparatus has interconnections among the storage devices. The interconnections include modulo-2 adders, and preferably 2-input modulo-2 adders, providing feedback to the storage devices. Some adders have outputs coupled to inputs of the storage devices while others have outputs coupled to k output lines. The interconnections are derived according to an m'th order generating polynomial and arranged to implement the generating function thereby outputting k bits on the k output lines each cycle of a clock signal common to the storage devices.
