  • Patent number: 6238243
Abstract: A support assembly for supporting a circuit board in an equipment rack or similar structure. The assembly includes a circuit board defining a substantially flat board plane and a mounting member that supports the circuit board in the equipment rack. The assembly further includes a support positioned between and attached to the mounting member and the circuit board. The support has engagement portions which engage the circuit board and substantially prevents the circuit board from bending out of the board plane.

  • Patent number: 6007368
Abstract: A telecommunications connector includes a body having a first end to mate with a mating connector and a second end having an aperture. A plurality of connector elements have a connection portion to make electrical contact with individual wires from wire cables. In an exemplary embodiment, the individual wires are in the form of twisted pair cables. The connector elements also include a terminating portion to make electrical contact with the mating connector, and an elongated intermediate portion coupling the corresponding connection and terminating portions. The elongated intermediate portion minimizes the overall surface area of the electrical contacts thereby reducing the capacitance between individual ones of the connector elements. In addition, the connector elements are mounted in a low dielectric constant material to further reduce capacitance between individual ones of the connector elements.

  • Patent number: 5151972
Abstract: An improved method and system for integrating voice telephone and data terminal devices in a single system is described. The present system may be incorporated with an existing telephone system without modification of the telephone system. The present invention includes means for monitoring a telephone line and upon detection of a ringing signal, the system monitors the telephone line for either a DTMF or CNG signal. Upon detection of either signal, an incoming call is routed to a series connected device such as a data terminal.
