  • Patent number: 11801946
Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring air gaps between opposing surfaces of two structural components. In one application, such measurements are used to fabricate a shim that fills the air gap between two structural members, such as parts of an aircraft. The resonant inductive coupling-based sensing system has the capability to remotely measure an air gap using an on-board transmit system. Furthermore, the system has the capability to switch between multiple inductor-capacitor sets such as to simultaneously measure air gaps across an area so that a better profile of the air gap can be determined. The resonant inductive coupling-based gap sensor is configured as signal generating and signal sensing electronics printed or mounted on respective flexible substrates to provide a flexible and portable measurement solution.

  • Publication number: 20230344241
Abstract: A system for determining a linear state estimation of a power distribution network. The system includes a plurality of metering devices, a plurality of power sources, each of the plurality of power sources coupled to a respective metering device, and a plurality of collection devices, each of the plurality of collection devices in electronic communication with a respective metering device. The plurality of collection devices measure an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) dataset and calculate a phase angle of the power source coupled to the metering device. The system includes a host device in electronic communication with the plurality of collection devices. An electronic processor of the host device receives the AMI dataset and the phase angle of the plurality of metering devices, determines the linear state estimation of the power distribution network based on the phase angle and the AMI dataset, and identifies information associated with the power distribution network.

  • Patent number: 11759431
Abstract: An abuse deterrent and misuse deterrent transdermal patch comprising aversive agents incorporated in the backing layer of the patch. The aversive agents can exhibit biphasic or sustained kinetics of release with an immediate portion released rapidly and an extended portion released in a prolonged manner when exposed to a dissolution medium. The prolonged aversive agent release provides deterrence against extraction of drug from fresh and used patches and serves to prevent accidental misuse of used patches by children. The abuse deterrent and misuse deterrent patch systems can be used for transdermal delivery of therapeutically active agents and particularly those drugs that are highly prone to abuse such as opiate and opioid analgesics and stimulants.

  • Publication number: 20230244997
Abstract: Generating a predictive mapping of an educational journey of a student. The method includes receiving, over a computer network, from a database of student records, unstructured data about a particular student of the educational institution. The unstructured data is normalized to classify the unstructured data consistent with a machine learning classification model to classify the unstructured data into a plurality of classifications. Based on the classifications of the unstructured data, A plurality of friction points that hinder a particular student's progress in the educational journey and a plurality of achievement points that promote the particular student's progress in the educational journey are identified. Using the friction points and achievement points, prediction information is generated of the particular student's progress in the educational journey. The prediction information is consistent with a machine learning prediction model.

  • Patent number: 11602636
Abstract: An alert system detects when an auditory prosthesis recipient is wearing her sound processor. When the processor is not worn, the alert system signals a secondary device, such as an accessory, to provide some other form of tactile stimulation to allow the recipient to be made aware of certain auditory stimuli she is not receiving via the auditory prosthesis. Thus, the alert system can effectively “hear” for the recipient. Since many auditory prosthesis recipients are, for all practical purposes, completely deaf without their external sound processors attached and operational, such an alert system increases the recipient's safety, convenience, and quality of life.

  • Patent number: 11535596
Abstract: Substituted analogs of dextromethorphan (DM) are disclosed, which are shown to have substantial binding affinity at both NMDA and sigma-1 receptors, and which are degraded by human liver enzymes more slowly than dextromethorphan. The analogs are useful as alternatives to dextromethorphan, and can provide the same benefits without requiring co-administration of a cytochrome P-450 enzyme inhibitor.

  • Patent number: 11528389
Abstract: A method and system for synchronizing an audio signal and a video signal includes a source device receiving an audio-video signal comprising the audio signal and the video signal. The video signal has a video time stamp. The source device communicates the audio signal from the source device to a first sink device through a wireless network with a second time stamp and communicates the video signal to the second sink device with the video time stamp. The second sink device generates a synchronization (synch) signal and communicates the synch signal to the first sink device. The first sink device compares the synch signal to the second time stamp, adjusts a relative timing of the playback of the audio signal in response to comparing and generates an audible signal from the audio signal.
