    Abstract: A novel composite belt for an desinewing apparatus that uses a belt in combination with a perforated drum. The three layer composite has a monofilament woven polyester carcass between layers of USDA food approved urethane strengthened by adding 10% by weight of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. The life expectancy of the invention is expected to double that of currently available belts used in such machinery.
