  • Patent number: 11532184
Abstract: A surveying device is operated to measure a surface profile of a terrain of a worksite and generate surface profile data indicative of the surface profile. A work machine is operated to move along a route over the terrain in accordance with an operating parameter and generates machine operational data indicative of the operating parameter. A navigation system determines the route and generates route data. A processing unit processes the route data, machine operational data and surface profile data to generate monitored operating condition data indicative of a monitored operating condition of the machine.

Date of Patent: December 20, 2022
    Assignee: Caterpillar SARL
Inventors: David Wisley, Alan Todd, Michael Looney, John Percival
  • Publication number: 20210131073
Abstract: A surveying device is operated to measure a surface profile of a terrain of a worksite and generate surface profile data. Machine operational data is stored and associated with at least one gradient characteristic. A processing unit is operated to process the surface profile data to identify an area of the terrain and a gradient characteristic of the area and retrieve machine operational data associated with the gradient characteristic from the database and associate the machine operational data with the area. The work machine is operated in the area based upon the machine operational data.

  • Publication number: 20060022151
Abstract: An apparatus for producing an annular electron beam comprises a cathode for generating electrons, a cavity having an annular shape and operable to receive the electrons, an energy input coupled to the cavity, where the energy input is operable to supply Radio Frequency (RF) energy at the cavity and an energy output coupled to the cavity and operable to receive accelerated electrons from the cavity and operable to output the accelerated electrons as an annular electron beam.

  • Patent number: 4294549
Abstract: A mechanized emulsifier is disclosed for mixing water and hydrocarbon fuels for boilers and internal combustion engines. A rotor is driven in an annular chamber and liquids drawn in at the axis of the rotor are thrown out through narrow radial passages therein to impinge on the outer wall of the annular chamber. This wall is circular for most of its circumference but broadens out into a spiral shaped outlet chamber. A fluid logic circuit for automatic control of the emulsifier is also set forth.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 14, 1979
Date of Patent: October 13, 1981
    Assignee: Dynatrol Consultants (U.K.) Limited
Inventors: Raymond V. Thompson, Alan Todd, Albert B. Constantine
