Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a single platform that provides controller functionality for each of security, monitoring and automation, as well as providing a capacity to function as a bidirectional Internet gateway. Embodiments of the present invention provide such functionality by virtue of a configurable architecture that enables a user to adapt the system for the user's specific needs. Embodiments of the present invention further provide for a software-based installation workflow to activate and provision the controller and associated sensors and network. Embodiments of the present invention also provide for downloading of previously-stored configuration data to the controller from a remote server, and for activation and provisioning of the controller from the previously-stored configuration data.

Abstract: Methods and systems for configuring communication at a premises are described. A network device at a premises may be in communication with a first network and a second network. The network device may receive data from a security system and a communication device located at the premises. The network device may transmit the data via the first network or the second network based on configuration data, which may be received from a remote server located external to the premise.

The one or more premises zones may be associated with corresponding content. If data is received from a device associated with a particular premises zone, then the content may be output. The content may be used to notify a user of an event, state change, or other indication associated with the particular premises zone.

Abstract: A T-post insulator that includes means to attach in a plurality of locations around the post. The insulator portion of the device consists of an outer surface that wraps around the T-post about 270 degrees for optimal insulation of the wire. The wire is installed through means of a snap in action from the top center of the wire around a retaining post. The wire is insulated fully regardless if installed on a straight run or a corner installation where wrapping around the T-post is required.

Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring a premises are described. A server external to the premises may be in communication with a system at the premises. The server may receive status data from the system from one or more interfaces. If a loss of communication occurs on one interface, then the status data may be received via a second interface. The server may determine timing information for status data received via the first interface and for status data received via the second interface. The server may send, based on the timing information, a message to a computing device indicating the loss of communication.

Abstract: Systems and methods for reporting account and sensor configuration information to a central system are disclosed. A security, monitoring, and automation (SMA) system may operate one or more sensors according to sensor configuration information. The sensor configuration information may be used by a remote monitoring system to send notification messages based on sensor events from the SMA system. The sensor configuration information may be transmitted to the remote monitoring system via another remote computing system. The computing system may format the sensor configuration information to a format compatible with the remote monitoring system and transmit the formatted sensor configuration information to the remote monitoring system.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for managing sensor event rules are described. Methods may comprise determining a sensor event rule, wherein the sensor event rule comprises a rule sensor identifier and a rule event identifier. Data indicative of a sensor event may be received. The data may be associated with a first premises device. The data may further indicate an identifier of the first premises device and an identifier of a sensor event. Based on determining that the identifier of the rule sensor identifier corresponds to the identifier of the first premises device and that the rule event identifier corresponds to the identifier of the sensor event, a control signal may be transmitted to a second premise device. The control signal may be configured to cause configuration of one or more settings associated with one or more functions of the second premises device.

In addition, a mechanism is provided for receiving account configuration information from a remote node, storing that account configuration information, and transmitting the account configuration information to the remote central station in a form usable by that remote central station. In this manner, inefficiencies during installation and modification of a security system using the SMA controller can be avoided through automated provision of the information.

The device includes an elongated section configured to be placed on the ground where the golfer intends to make his backswing for a selected put.
