Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for collaborative payment strategies. Buyers, sellers, and financial institutions may utilize a collaborative payment application to facilitate collaboration and share best practices for processing payments and deductions as part of a collaborative payment system. In certain embodiments, the collaborative payment system acts as repository for buyer compliance guideline information. The collaborative payment system facilitates transactions between buyers, sellers, and financial institutions using best practices derived from shared knowledge of each participant's capabilities and practices.

Abstract: A system and method for automated adjustment processing using pre-configured sets of business rules is provided. The seller pre-configures a set of business rules for use in processing an adjustment for a specific buyer. The set of business rules may be variable for each buyer and/or globally set. When a payment is received from a seller and an adjustment is required, an adjustment management application retrieves the buyer's set of business rules from the seller. The set of business rules are then applied to attempt to match the received payment to one of the buyer's outstanding invoices. If the match is successful, the buyer's payment is processed.

A seller receives a payment from a buyer that does not match the seller's invoice and consequently requires an adjustment. An adjustment document creator receives the payment data from the buyer and retrieves buyer-specific order data from said seller to construct an adjustment document. A variety of adjustment documents may be created depending upon the actual adjustment required. The adjustment document may then be automatically routed to a set of one or more buyer-specific human reviewers for approval of the adjustment. The automated payment and adjustment processing system is preferably integrated with the seller's financial institution.

Abstract: A system and method for automated incoming payment and invoice reconciliation is provided. A buyer of goods sends a remittance to the seller's financial institution. The buyer's remittances is processed to generate payment data which is supplied to a payment matching application. The payment matching application retrieves buyer information from said payment data and queries the seller for all outstanding invoices of said buyer. The payment matching application then attempts to match the received payment to one or more of the buyer's outstanding invoices. If a match is found, the payment is processed and the seller's financial institution and accounting system are automatically updated. If no match is found, the payment is flagged for further processing.

These circuits sample the output from a phototransistor. If the outputs from the phototransistor are different when the LED is lit and unlit, then a comparator will give an output, thus synchronously filtering out unwanted infrared light that may cause a false paper reading.

Abstract: A method of extracting from an oil bearing product at below a select temperature. The method includes providing an oil bearing product at a temperature at or below the select temperature. A liquid extraction solvent that is a gas under standard temperature and pressure is provided, with the extraction solvent being maintained at a temperature below its boiling point at ambient pressure and below the select temperature and at substantially ambient pressure. The oil bearing product is contacted with the extraction solvent at ambient pressure for a period sufficient to extract a select amount of the oil from the oil bearing product resulting in a reduced oil content product and an oil bearing extraction solvent.
