  • Patent number: 10159195
Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for plant stress mitigation. The systems provided comprises three key components to perform a self-standardized algorithm for identifying/measuring significant stress conditions within a short time window (for example 1 to 3 days). After identification of a significant stress condition, plants under stress can be treated with a composition comprising an ethylene synthesis or perception inhibitor, for example 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP). Also provided are methods for identifying plant genes in response to stress using the system disclosed herein.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 6, 2014
Date of Patent: December 25, 2018
    Assignee: AGROFRESH INC.
    Inventor: Alan Ward Green
  • Patent number: 9974300
Abstract: This invention is based on the use of cyclopropene to stabilize/enhance yield/seed production for corn inbred lines known to be stress-susceptible. Inbred corn lines are especially susceptible to environmental and mechanical stresses. Provided are methods and use of cyclopropene to enhance production of inbred seed from inbreds especially susceptible to stress. Also provided are methods and use of cyclopropene to enhance production of hybrid seed from inbreds susceptible to environmental stress. Also provided are methods and use of cyclopropene to enhance production of hybrid seed from inbreds susceptible to mechanical stress.

Date of Patent: May 22, 2018
    Assignee: Agrofresh Inc.
