  • Patent number: 7353957
Abstract: A pegboard panel includes a plurality of perforations and a plurality of box-anchor receptacles that project outwardly from a rear surface. Each box-anchor receptacle communicates with one of the plurality of perforations and includes a back wall that is spaced from the rear surface and that defines a through opening arranged in substantially coaxial relation with the perforation. A storage system is also provided that includes the foregoing pegboard panel into which a fastener is positioned within the through opening. A portion of the fastener engages the back wall so as to secure the pegboard panel to a structure, e.g., a wall, thereby forming an interface between the fastener, the back wall, and the structure. A support device engages a portion of one of the plurality of box-anchor receptacles so as to be positioned on the front surface of the pegboard panel so that loads supported by the support device act directly upon the fastener-wall-structure interface.

  • Patent number: 7354024
Abstract: A system and apparatus for storing an item is provided that includes a pegboard wall-plug having a plate including a central opening. A tube projects outwardly from a rear surface of the plate in surrounding relation to the central opening. A plurality of circumferentially arranged, spaced-apart parallel ridges project outwardly from a surface of the cylindrical tube. A hole is defined by a surface of a wall where the surface defines a diameter of the hole that is less than a diameter of at least one of the circumferentially arranged, spaced-apart parallel ridges. In this way, when the tube is received within the hole, the circumferentially arranged, spaced-apart parallel ridges engage and bite into the surface so as to retain the pegboard wall-plug in the wall.

  • Publication number: 20070251904
Abstract: A system for holding an item on a hook-arm that has a polygonal cross-section and is mounted within a yoke assembly. The yoke assembly includes a front plate with a rear face and a plurality of open-ended channels that each have a polygonal cross-section that is complementary to the polygonal cross-section of the hook-arm. At least two of the plurality of channels share a common open end. A rear plate mates with the front plate, and has a front face and including a first flange and a second flange that are arranged in spaced apart, parallel relation to one another and in off-set relation to the front face. The front plate is mountable to the rear plate with the at least one hook-arm positioned within one of the plurality of open-ended channels. The whole assembly is then mounted upon a frame having spaced apart openings that are sized and oriented so that one of the spaced apart openings receives the first flange and one of the spaced apart openings receives the second flange.

  • Patent number: 6935518
Abstract: An item holder for use with a perforated panel having a shank with a support arm extending outwardly from a first end and a catch located at a second end. The catch includes a curved cantilevered strap projecting from the second end and having a stop tab located at a strap end positioned above, but spaced away from the second end. A system for supporting an item on a vertically oriented structure including a planar board having spaced perforations, where each perforation is defined by an internal top edge and an internal bottom edge of the board. An item holder that engages the board with a slot defined through the underside of the cantilevered strap between a top portion of the shank and the second end of the cantilevered strap so that when the item holder is located within one of the plurality of perforations, the slot engages the internal bottom edge of the board.
