Abstract: A sealing system for sealing the joints defined by three intersecting structural surfaces such as the top surface of a tub and two adjoining walls includes three generally L-shaped sealing strips and a corner piece for covering the corner where the joints meet and the end portions of the three sealing strips. The sealing strips and corner piece are held in place against the structural surfaces with a suitable adhesive and have flexible lips along their edges which press against the underlying surfaces adjacent the joints to be sealed. The corner piece has three connected walls, each one generally parallel to one of the three structural surfaces which define the joints to be sealed. Two lands project rearwardly from the corner piece, each land projecting toward a respective one of the structural surfaces. Each land defines the minimum distance between the end of one of the sealing strips and the corner, and between them the lands define a space for receiving the third sealing strip.

Abstract: An improved decorative molding system for covering the joint formed between a countertop surface and an adjacent wall surface. The system includes a molding strip for covering the joint, the molding strip having an L-shape formed by a pair of integrally joined legs. The legs have respective outside surfaces together forming a gradually curved, generally concave front face of the strip and respective inside surfaces which are generally planar and substantially perpendicular. The legs have bifurcated inner portions together forming outside and inside walls. The outside and inside walls are relatively gradually and sharply curved, respectively, and merge together at their outer ends to define therebetween a hollow cavity which is generally triangular in cross-sectional shape. Each leg has a flared outer edge portion which angles inwardly with respect to the planar extent of the inside surface of the leg.

Abstract: A two-piece closure device for a shower curtain includes a wall attachment strip having a pre-applied adhesive backing for adhering such strip to a vertical wall surface adjacent an end edge of the shower curtain, and a curtain attachment clip adapted to be fastened to an end edge of the shower curtain in alignment with the wall attachment strip by folding a flap on one side of the curtain attachment clip over until a projecting rib portion on the flap moves into locking engagement in a channel on the curtain attachment clip with the curtain edge disposed therebetween. The wall attachment strip and curtain attachment clip have releasably interfitting male and female portions for releasably connecting the two pieces together.

Abstract: A sealing system for sealing the junction between a horizontal surface such as the top surface of a bathtub, counter top or sink and two adjacent walls is disclosed. The sealing system seals the junction of the walls and a horizontal surface which are substantially mutually perpendicular and define two longitudinal joints, one vertical joint and a corner at the intersection of the joints. The system comprises two generally L-shaped sealing strips each with a pair of legs extending lengthwise parallel to one of the joints and each stopping a predetermined distance short of the corner. A corner piece has faces adjacent the horizontal surface and each of the walls, the faces being shorter than the predetermined distance. Two generally L-shaped flanges extend lengthwise beyond the ends of the faces, each of the flanges overlapping with the one of the L-shaped sealing strips. The overlap accommodates some variation from ideal in the length of the sealing strips.
