  • Publication number: 20240134732
Abstract: Cause alert and clear alert correlation is disclosed. The presently disclosed subject matter discloses generating a clear alert that can identify a related existing cause alert based on determining an updated hardware, software, and/or environmental state of a device, device role, etc. The clear alert can be positively correlated to the existing cause alert based on the identification of the cause alert comprised in the clear alert. The correlation of the cause and clear alert can be employed to alter a resolution event. Further, the correlation of the cause and clear alert can be employed to alter alert information that can be accessed by a user, such as an admin, etc., e.g., a cause alert can be marked as resolved after correlation to the clear alert, which can reduce extraneous alert information presented to an admin, for example, in an alert log, summary alert log, system health dashboard, etc.

  • Patent number: 10212844
Abstract: An information handling system includes a first fan in a first location for cooling a first component of the information handling system, a second fan in a second location for cooling a second component of the information handling system, and a management controller. The management controller determines that the first fan has experienced greater stress than the second fan, and recommends that the first fan be placed in the second location and that the second fan be placed in the first location.

  • Patent number: 10097409
Abstract: An information handling system includes a chassis management controller (CMC) with a service processor, a processing system including a baseboard management controller (BMC) with a service processor, and a chassis management network coupled to the CMC and the BMC. The CMC instantiates a virtual CMC and the BMC instantiates a virtual BMC client. The virtual CMC is coupled to the virtual BMC client by a virtual management network of the chassis management network. The CMC is operable to manage the processing system via the BMC and the virtual CMC is operable to manage the processing system via the virtual BMC client.

  • Patent number: 8107460
Abstract: An IP-telephony system including one or more nodes coupled to a session controller. Each node includes a service gateway coupled to one or more terminals. A first terminal conveys a start page request initiating a page activity between itself and one or more terminating terminals. The session controller receives the start page request and in response, conveys first control signals to one or more service gateways, each first control signal containing information identifying which of the terminals associated with a service gateway is a terminating terminal. In response to the first control signal, each service gateway conveys second control signals to its associated terminating terminals. The first terminal conveys a media packet to the first service gateway during a page activity. The first service gateway forwards the media packet to one or more designated terminating terminals.
