  • Publication number: 20230369775
Abstract: A radome-reflector assembly includes a generally domed reflector having a peripheral rim and a radome assembly. The radome assembly includes: an annular ring having a front wall and a side wall; a disk that fits within the ring; and an RF-compliant absorber, wherein the rim of the reflector fits within the side wall. The radome assembly further comprises a clip that engages the rim and the ring to secure the reflector to the radome assembly.

  • Patent number: 9698490
Abstract: A dielectric cone radiator sub-reflector assembly for a reflector antenna with a waveguide supported sub-reflector is provided as a unitary dielectric block with a sub-reflector at a distal end. A waveguide transition portion of the dielectric block is dimensioned for insertion coupling into an end of the waveguide. A sub-reflector support portion of the dielectric block and the waveguide transition portion provided with a plurality of longitudinal ribs and grooves coaxial with a longitudinal axis of the assembly; the longitudinal grooves open to a proximal end of the dielectric block. The unitary dielectric block may be manufactured as a single contiguous monolithic portion of dielectric material via injection molding.

  • Publication number: 20060129096
Abstract: A pre-filled hypodermic syringe adapted for use with a retractable-type needle unit (18). The syringe has a barrel (10) provided with a piston member (14). The piston member (14) includes a plastics portion (30) mounting a dislodgeable blocking portion (36) of chemically inert material in such a way that the plastics portion (30) is not in contact with the pre-filled contents of the syringe.

  • Publication number: 20050261638
Abstract: A syringe comprising a barrel (10), a plunger (11) and a needle unit (12). The needle unit (12) has a needle (30) which is biased inwardly of the barrel (10) but whose inward movement is blocked by a stop element (34). The needle (30) is released from the stop element (34) in response to the plunger (11) reaching the final part of, or the conclusion of, its delivery stroke to allow retraction of the needle (30). The barrel (10) of the syringe is provided with a seal (38) which contacts an outer peripheral surface of the stop element (34).

  • Publication number: 20050070854
Abstract: A syringe (1) comprises a barrel (2) having a needle (23) engaged in a glass hub (19). The glass hub (19) is retractable under the action of a spring (30) towards the trailing end of the syringe. The glass hub (19) is restrained against movement towards the trailing end by a crown (10) which is removably attached to the glass hub (19). A plunger (36) engages the crown (10), removing it from the glass hub (19) and allowing retraction of the needle (23). A core (45), removably attached to the end of the plunger by a resiliently deformable member, is then removed from the plunger, allowing the glass hub (19) and the needle (23) to be retracted into the plunger under the action of the spring (30).
