Abstract: An improved chain saw of the power driven type adapted to be held by an operator using two hands, as well as a wrist support for a chain saw. The improved chain saw has a housing including a first and second handle. A cutting chain apparatus extends from the housing. At least one wrist support is fixedly interconnected with the housing at a predetermined location thereon between one handle of the first and second handles and the cutting chain apparatus, such that, when the operator grips the one handle with one hand, during a kickback condition the wrist support prevents inadvertent rotation of the wrist associated with the one hand.
