  • Publication number: 20240065428
Abstract: A brush, rotatably arranged in a cleaning device for cleaning surfaces, is described. The brush includes a core element and brush elements arranged on the core element. The brush elements are arranged in a bristle field extending in a direction of a longitudinal axis of the brush and in a peripheral direction about the longitudinal axis. Further, the brush elements include fiber hairs. Furthermore, a linear mass density of at least tip portions of the brush elements is lower than 15 g per 10 km. In addition, an average of a packing density of the brush elements in the bristle field is lower than 15,000 brush elements per 1 cm2 so as to ensure that for the purpose of moving the brush during a cleaning action, only a relatively small amount of energy is needed.

  • Publication number: 20230320546
Abstract: Provided is a wet cleaning apparatus (10), such as a wet vacuum cleaner. The wet cleaning apparatus comprises a dirt inlet (11), and a motor (14) and fan (16) for delivering suction to the dirt inlet. A separator unit (18) separates water from a flow of air generated by the suction. The apparatus further includes a container (19) for collecting the separated water. The container has a top (19A) and a bottom (19B). An air passage (22) is provided in the container for passing the air separated from the water towards the motor and fan. The air passage is spatially separated from the bottom of the container. An internal wall (19E) extends from the top towards the bottom of the container. A space (25) is thus defined between the container and the internal wall. Water collected at the bottom of container is receivable in the space when the container is orientated, e.g. tilted, such that the collected water moves from the bottom towards the top of the container.

  • Publication number: 20230320545
Abstract: A wet cleaning apparatus includes a cleaner head having a dirt inlet. A motor and fan deliver suction to the dirt inlet. Further, the wet cleaning apparatus includes a separator unit for separating water from a flow of air generated by the suction. The separated water is collected in a container having a top and a bottom, and a side portion extending there between. The separated air is passed out of the container towards the motor and fan via an air passage. The air passage is spatially separated from the bottom of the container. The water collected in the container sloshes against the side portion of the container when a user is pushing the cleaner head and the container forward. A water directing member sealingly adjoins the side portion, and protrudes into the container backwards from the side portion, thereby to inhibit the water sloshing against the side portion.

  • Publication number: 20230157510
Abstract: A cleaning device designed to clean a surface includes a cleaner nozzle to face the surface to be cleaned and to perform a cleaning action on the surface, where the cleaner nozzle accommodates at least one rotatably arranged brush including flexible brush elements having tip portions which are intended to contact the surface. The cleaning device includes a force-actuable mechanism that is responsive to a change of a user force on the cleaning device acting to press the cleaner nozzle against the surface when the cleaner nozzle is in an operational position on the surface, and that is functional to cause a change of a value of at least one parameter of operation of the cleaning device, thereby enabling more intuitive handling of the cleaning device by a user.

  • Publication number: 20230042811
Abstract: A cyclone unit is for separating liquid and particles from a suction flow. A main flow inlet to the outer housing of the cyclone unit includes an opening. The transition between the main flow inlet and the outer housing at this opening has, at least for a portion of the opening, a radius of curvature of at least 0.5 mm. The large radius of curvature prevents the formation of static water drops.

  • Publication number: 20230039475
Abstract: A wet vacuum cleaner uses a cyclone unit for separating liquid and particles from a suction flow. A main flow inlet to a cyclone chamber is spaced internally from its respective end by a separation distance. The separation distance is at least 0.1 times (effective/equivalent) diameter of the main flow inlet, which assists in preventing formation of large droplets which follows a path to a main flow outlet.

  • Publication number: 20230023753
Abstract: A cleaning device for cleaning a surface is described. The cleaning device includes at least one cleaning element and a wetting system to supply a cleaning liquid to the at least one cleaning element. The wetting system is operable in one of at least one normal operation mode and a boost operation mode involving an increased supply rate of the cleaning liquid with respect to the at least one normal operation mode. During start-up of the cleaning device in a wet cleaning mode thereof, a start-up operation mode of the wetting system is determined to be one of the normal operation mode or the boost operation mode on the basis of assessment of an actual value of at least one parameter that is indicative of whether or not the at least one cleaning element is in a wet cleaning condition.

  • Publication number: 20220211231
Abstract: A noise reduction device includes a main tube having a first pass-through area where a fluid enters the main tube, and a side-branch connected to the main tube. The main tube includes a narrowed section having a second pass-through area that is at least 25% (preferably, at least 50%, and more preferably, at least 60%) smaller than the first pass-through area, and the side-branch is connected to the narrowed section of the main tube. Where the side-branch is connected to the main tube, the side-branch is preferably sealed-off by a cover that is acoustically transparent, which may be impermeable for the fluid. Such a noise reduction device is advantageously used in a fluid displacing appliance (e.g. a vacuum cleaner), including a motor for displacing the fluid (e.g. gas or liquid).
