  • Patent number: 5749464
Abstract: A binder housing multiple compact discs includes a hollow housing formed from two opposing housing portions interconnected at a common hinge line. The binder has an internal spine which spans the common hinge line and flexes between an untensioned position when the binder is closed to a tensioned position when the binder is opened. The internal spine includes a series of disc carriers which detachably engage the spine and when tensioned, the spine displays the disc carriers in a radial fashion.

  • Patent number: 5715938
Abstract: A compact disc storage case for storing a compact disc includes a base portion with a disc-receiving recess formed therein and a manually manipulated sliding cover that overlies the recess. The cover is bifurcated and has a cover portion and a sliding portion interconnected by a hinge. Movement of the sliding portion raises the cover portion and causes a disc-lifting mechanism to lift the disc partially out of the recess.

  • Patent number: 4907703
Abstract: A desk storage system for efficiently organizing various office implements using modular components assembled in one of a plurality of configurations according to user preference. The desk storage system includes modular components attachable to one another by connectors mounted on the periphery of the modular components. The connectors enable lateral and, selectively, angular tilt adjustment of adjacent modular components. A strong, rigid shelf is also provided for supporting the modular components, while also allowing the lateral and angular tilt adjustment of the modular components. The system further includes stacked trays selectively adjustable relative to one another. The trays are stacked using stacking brackets readily engageable between paper trays, while providing a strong, rigid connection.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 2, 1988
Date of Patent: March 13, 1990
    Assignee: Tenex Corporation
Inventors: Andrew L. Alger, Marlan H. Polhemus, Albert B. Cheris, Richard L. Gibson

  • Patent number: 4097628
Abstract: An improved carpet runner for self-service sales in discount stores or the like without the need for assistance of a clerk. The runner includes an elongated web of flexible, liquid-impervious plastic material having on one side thereof a plurality of projections for gripping the nap of an underlying carpet. The improved runner includes a plurality of substantially equally spaced, liquid-impervious, transverse lines of weakening extending across the web so that a desired predetermined length of the web may be easily separated from the remainder of the web along a desired one of the lines of weakening without the use of a tool.
