A valve poppet is moveably positioned within the internal valve trim. In one embodiment, the valve poppet includes a distal portion that is tapered. In another embodiment, the distal portion is characterized by a double radius. In some embodiments the inlet and the outlet are orientated about ninety degrees with respect to each other.
