  • Publication number: 20250378151
Abstract: User authentication is an extremely important process in many applications and industries. Because of its importance, most security-sensitive user authentication processes employ an automatic multi-factor authentication process that involves confirming a SMS message, answering a security question, entering a PIN, etc. However, even these auto multi-factor authentication processes are vulnerable to attack and hack. For example, some facial recognition authentication processes can be defeated using a picture. Voice print can also be duplicated using a previous recording of the user's voice. As such, most financial institutions employ some form of human involvement (on top of multi-factor authentication) to authenticate a user for high security sensitive situations. The cost for performing authentication with human involvement can be very expensive.

  • Patent number: 7448004
Abstract: A method, management tool, or spreadsheet device that allows a user to analyze, compare, and assess various aspects of an electronic design validation process for an integrated circuit. The exemplary method provides a six-sigma measurement of the effectiveness of an electronic design validation process. Furthermore, various different types of electronic design validation processes can be compared and contrasted for their effectiveness for validating the electronic design throughout the design process.

  • Publication number: 20060154762
Abstract: A continuously variable transmission has a first pulley assembly and a second pulley assembly connected by a chain. At least one of the pulley assemblies has a shaft and a bulkhead secured to the shaft. The shaft has a fixed disk portion. A moveable disk portion is positioned on the shaft between the fixed disk portion and the moveable disk portion. The moveable disk portion has a portion that bears on the bulkhead and a portion that bears on the shaft. A fluid system also supplies fluid to the system to both lubricate the transmission and drive the movement of the moveable disk portion. The fluid system can be constructed to not load the shaft with any substantial axial load.

  • Publication number: 20060154760
Abstract: A continuously variable transmission has an input pulley assembly connected to a first transfer pulley assembly with a first chain and a second transfer pulley assembly connected to an output pulley assembly with a second chain. The first transfer pulley assembly and the second transfer pulley assembly shaft a common shuttle disk that moves axially on a countershaft that carries the first and second transfer pulleys. The input pulley assembly and the output pulley assembly are generally axially aligned and a bearing carrier is positioned between the pulleys. A high pressure fluid supply system reduces or eliminates axial loading on the shafts of the transmission.
