  • Patent number: 9175477
Abstract: A gutter cleaning apparatus that cleans debris from a gutter having a concave channel for collecting water from a roof of a building, has a platform with a plurality of spaced apart apertures each including a guide flap extending at an inclined air flow directing angle from under the platform. The platform is mounted in the gutter at a selected spacing above a floor of the gutter and extends into an air flow guide engaged to an end of the platform. The guide has an outlet end with lower and upper portions for directing air flow respectively under and over the platform for lifting and remove debris from an upper surface of the platform, the platform extending at least partly into the outlet end for dividing the outlet end into the lower and upper portions, and the guide has an inlet for receiving a flow of forced air from a blower near ground level.

  • Publication number: 20120266471
Abstract: A combination ruler and square has first and second elongated straight ruler members with first and second recesses in the upper surface near opposite ends of the first ruler member that receive a tongue extending from an end of the second ruler member to form first and second configurations of the combination that respectively create a square and an elongated ruler. Magnets and detents in the tongue and recesses retain the tongue in a respective recess in the first and second configurations and an extra pair of alignable magnets in the first and second ruler members cause the rule members to be attracted to each other in an aligned storage configuration of the combination where the second ruler member overlays the first ruler member.

  • Patent number: 8132933
Abstract: A blackout light bulb has a housing with an Edson screw at one end for screwing into a light fixture socket and a plurality of spaced apart LEDs mounted to its opposite end. A flexible stalk is connected to the housing between the Edison screw and the LEDs and can be bent into a selected shape for positioning a free end of the stalk as desired. A circuit board in the housing has an electronic circuit connected to the Edison screw, to the LEDs and to a photo cell at the free end of the stalk. A rechargeable battery in the housing is connected to the circuit board so that it is charged under certain normal conditions and so that it lights up the LEDs under other blackout conditions.

  • Patent number: 8077108
Abstract: A digital TV antenna has first and second conductive members with surfaces of two minimum orthogonal dimensions and a nonconductive substrate connected to the surfaces of the conductive members for supporting them at a spaced location from each other of not more than ½ inch. Wires electrically connect the conducive members to a plug for being plugged to an input of a digital TV and at least one of the two minimum orthogonal dimensions is at least eight inches.

  • Publication number: 20100214192
Abstract: A directional antenna captures digital signals from the air and has a base with a first coaxial connector and central electrical and mechanical contact surface at an axis of rotation as well as an annular electrical and mechanical contact surface extending around the axis. A coaxial cable has a core conductor connected to the central contact surface and an outer shielding conductor connected to the annular contact surface. A device connector is connected to an opposite end of the core and shielding conductors for connecting the cable to a device such as a TV. A substrate mounted for rotation to the base about the axis of rotation has a support surface for a pair of conductive sheets. A second coaxial connector is connected to the substrate and has a central electrical and mechanical contact surface at the axis of rotation and an annular electrical and mechanical contact surface extending around the axis of rotation.

  • Patent number: 7578085
Abstract: An address indicator has panels each displaying a translucent character surrounded by an opaque area. A frame with a channel slidably captures the panels and has an upper chamber above the channel and a rear chamber behind the channel. Stops at opposite ends of the channel keep the panels in the channel and lights such as LEDs are spaced in the upper chamber for casting light into the rear chamber. A translucent screen in the rear chamber defuses light for illuminating the translucent character of each panel. Solar cells charge replaceable, rechargeable batteries for powering the lights.
