Abstract: A flower pot has a retainer which holds the pot atop a flat, ground-level grave marker in position where neither the pot nor its retainer is interfered with by lawn mowers cutting grass closely adjacent and around the marker. The retainer is L-shaped, presenting a vertical leg that penetrates the ground adjacent one edge of the marker and a horizontal leg closely overlying the marker and extending radially into the bottom of the pot where it is releasably attached to the pot.
