    Abstract: A wearable emergency alert device includes a wearable member and a separately encased mobile phone member that is selectively attachable to the wearable member. The wearable member includes an attachment member for attaching the wearable member to a body part of the user, a first transmitter for sending a first signal to the mobile phone member, a power source for the first transmitter and a first actuator operable by a user for actuating the first transmitter to send a signal to the mobile phone member. The mobile phone member includes a mobile phone transceiver for establishing a first communication link between the mobile phone transceiver and the first transmitter; and the second communication link between the mobile phone transceiver and a remote receiver for transmitting and receiving at least one of data, voice and messages between the mobile phone transceiver and a remote receiver.

    Abstract: The invention describes a mobile telephone (1) comprising a housing (2) with a first and a second housing part (3, 4) which are connected to one another and can be displaced relative to one another, an electronic unit (5), an electronic memory device (6), a display device (7) and an input unit (8) with a first input device (9) and a second input device (10) disposed separately from the first input device (9). The mobile telephone (1) has two operating levels with different sets of functions, and in a first operating level in a stand-by position access is restricted to only some of all the available functions via the first input device (9). In a second operating level, all the functions can be accessed via the second input device (10) in an extended position. In the stand-by position, entries from the electronic telephone book are displayed via the electronic unit (5) on the display device (7).
