    Abstract: A first phase locked loop (PLL) having a second PLL with programmable divider therein supplying 50 kilohertz steps of coarse tuning to a mixer and a third PLL with programmable divider therein providing 50 Hertz fine tuning steps to a phase detector for providing any of a plurality of steps of frequency within a band of frequencies in response to control signals applied to the two programmable dividers.
