  • Patent number: 7031819
Abstract: A plurality of vehicle stabilizing devices which operate according to different strategies and which actuate, independently of the driver, brake actuators which are assigned to the vehicle wheels, in order to stabilize the vehicle are arranged in the vehicle. The vehicle is equipped with at least one switchable differential lock in the drive train. The differential lock assumes a non-switched operating state, a first operating state in which the differential lock is preselected, and a second operating state in which the differential lock is switched. When the differential lock assumes the first operating state, some of the vehicle stabilizing devices, other than that vehicle stabilizing device which, by actuating the brake actuators independently of the driver, prevents the vehicle wheels from locking during a braking operation, are influenced in terms of their operating mode.

  • Patent number: 6378932
Abstract: A motor vehicle has an outer contour around which the headwind flows when driving has associated with it flow-influencing structure to reduce the air resistance of the motor vehicle is known. The flow-influencing structure are movably mounted in a vicinity of the outer contour and can be activated periodically with the aid of drive devices in order to introduce suitably time-dependent disturbances into the flow of the headwind in the vicinity of the flow-influencing structure.

  • Patent number: 5839774
Abstract: An anti-buffet screen device for an open motor vehicle has associated a heat-transfer device with it, said device extending over at least a portion of its active surface and being made flat, especially a radiator device.

  • Patent number: 5621570
Abstract: A mirror housing for an exterior rear-view mirror on a vehicle exhibits a mirror face received in an opening and directed towards the vehicle tail. The mirror housing also exhibits a water channel which runs around the mirror housing adjacent to the opening, which water channel is integrated into the mirror housing opposite the housing surface with side walls sunk in with respect to said housing surface, and by means of which water which impinges in a drive mode is collected before it reaches the opening and is channelled in the direction of the lower housing edge. The mirror housing terminates, between the lower opening border and the water channel, in a strip which is oriented, at an angle with respect to the housing surface, in the direction of the tail and downwards.

  • Patent number: 5511847
Abstract: A front end covering for a motor vehicle has air conducting paths which extend adjacent to the roadway on both sides from the vehicle front in the direction of the front wheels. The air conducting paths extend next to one another and are curved in the vertical direction of the vehicle, one air conducting path ending in front of the front wheel and the other air conducting path being constructed as a groove directed towards the interior side of the wheel which has a cross-section open towards the roadway. The other air conducting path is constructed on the bottom with an upwardly extending guiding surface which is curved in front of the front wheel in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle convexly with respect to the roadway.

  • Patent number: 4706738
Abstract: The application relates to a radiator grill for motor vehicles which comprises a plurality of lamellae oriented parallel and arranged at mutual intervals, the free interstices between the lamellae being able to be closed by pressurizable flexible hose(s) as a function of the cooling water temperature of an internal combustion engine, with each of the pressurized adjacent hose(s) being braced mutually in the closed position. The invention provides that such a radiator grill can be developed so that no particularly high pressure needs to be exerted to deform the hose(s), since the hose(s) flex into a closing position and no particularly high strength requirements need be imposed for the resilient properties of the hose material as the hose(s) flex outwardly and do not inflate. Additionally, a simple clip mechanism is provided to attach the hose(s) to the lamellae.

  • Patent number: 4222314
Abstract: A passenger space ventilation system for motor vehicles in which stale passenger air is removed toward the outside through openings within the rear area of the body and in which after leaving the passenger space but prior to the discharge into the air flow about the vehicle, the exhaust air from the passenger space is conducted past heated vehicle parts for cooling the same. The air guidance for the stale passenger space air consists at least within the area of the heated vehicle parts of air-guide channels which are formed on the side facing an interior of the vehicle of molded parts that consist of heat-insulating material.

  • Patent number: 4144803
Abstract: A passenger-space ventilation system for motor vehicles, especially for passenger motor vehicles, in which the used-up passenger-space exhaust air, after its discharge out of the passenger space but prior to its discharge into the outside air stream flowing about the vehicle, is conducted past heated-up vehicle parts for purposes of cooling the same.
