Abstract: A retaining mechanism for a holster includes a body (18) mountable to or integral with a holster, and a hood unit (40) rotatably mounted to the body. The hood unit configured for rotation about a first axis between a retaining condition in which it overlies a service item in the holster to prevent its withdrawal and a retracted condition in which the service item can be withdrawn. A hand-operable lever assembly (60) is rotatably mounted to the body and configured for rotation about a second axis. The lever assembly is operably engageable with the hood unit whereby rotation of the lever assembly effects rotation of the hood unit to its retracted condition and vice versa. The lever assembly includes a first, deflectable, portion (70) and a separate second, depressible, portion (80).

Abstract: A garment comprises a panel adapted to comprise or retain body armor that protects a front region of the torso when the garment is worn and respective laterally spaced side pockets that extend generally vertically at the front side regions of the torso when the garment is worn. These side pockets have openings at their upper ends to removably receive the respective arms of a generally U-shaped, deflated but inflatable personal flotation device (PFD), that thereby extends behind the neck and/or head of the wearer. These side pockets have outer side fastenings that are separable by the inflating PFD arms to thereby allow the arms to fully expand.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of a quick release garment can be provided. The exemplary garment can include a plurality of co-operable garment panels, which when interconnected, can form a garment in a condition wrapped about an upper torso of a person, a plurality releasable mechanical latches, each latch having a first and a second portion and at least one latch element biased towards an engaged condition, releasably engageable to interconnect the garment panels, and a release arrangement operable in a single operation to release the latches. Further, the latches can be structured so that the single operation allows the garment to fall from the upper torso, and the garment can thereafter be rapidly restorable to the condition wrapped about the upper torso by re-engaging each of the latches by pushing the first and second portions together against the bias to re-engage the latch element(s).

Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a stillage wherein the apparatus includes a pallet rack (10) having at least two parallel, laterally spaced elongate frame members (11) that extend horizontally in use for supporting thereon a stillage (14) having four or more supporting feet (16). The apparatus also includes at least one foot-locating member (15) secured along an elongate frame member of the at least two parallel elongate frame members. The foot-locating member has an engagement means (22) for engaging with a foot of the stillage to define the location of the foot on the pallet rack for stabilising the stillage upon the rack. Also disclosed is a device for locating a stillage on a pallet rack.

Abstract: A magazine pouch for use with magazines that are generally longitudinal and have a generally rectangular cross-section with two side faces being greater in cross-sectional length than the cross-sectional length of the front and back faces. The magazine pouch includes a rear wall (30) including attachment means (82) that in use fasten the pouch to a user's apparel, and a front wall (32), two side walls (34, 36) and a base (38) define a pocket (40) for selectively holding a magazine. Securing means (42) in use secures the magazine in the pocket and is releasable to allow for the removal of the magazine from within the pocket. The dimensions of the pocket walls (30, 32, 34, 36) define the orientation of the magazine when inserted in the pocket such that the magazine side faces are generally perpendicular to the rear wall (30) and the front and rear faces are parallel to the front and rear walls (30, 32) and therefore the user's body.
