  • Patent number: 9060705
Abstract: An electrode assembly for electrical impedance tomography comprising a plurality of different electrode modules, each containing a support strap made of a flexible material that presents a reduced longitudinal deformability and carrying a predetermined number of electrodes, each support strap being dimensioned to be seated and retained onto a respective extension portion of a body segment of a patient. Each electrode module presents the number of electrodes and a distance “De” between each two consecutive electrodes predetermined as a function of a specific operational pattern to be obtained from each electrode module. The assembly can further comprise an electrical conducting cable having an end connected to a monitoring apparatus and a free end provided with a connector to be coupled to a respective electrode of an electrode module.

  • Publication number: 20100280404
Abstract: There is described an electrical impedance tomography equipment, intended for providing images representing the inside of a portion of the body of a patient by means of electrical impedance measurements taken between electrodes positioned on the skin, comprising a plurality of acquisition units (15, 27) provided with circuits for processing low level analog signals picked up by the cables (13, 29) that interconnect the said equipment with the electrodes (14) applied to the patient, the said acquisition units being substantially symmetrically arranged to provide as a result a substantially equal irradiation of the heat generated in these units, easing the calibration of the analog channels and common mode rejection. The equipment further comprises at least one plane constituted by a printed circuit board whereto the said units are electrically connected, the said plane comprising complementary elements and devices, such as the electrical connection terminals for the said cables.

  • Patent number: 5276601
Abstract: A lamp shade including a plurality of light deflectors. The light deflectors are mounted so as to be independently moveable with respect to the frame and one another. Most preferably the lamp shade is defined by two or more spaced arrays of light deflectors. In one embodiment the light deflectors are mounted end to end to allow vertical variation in light intensity and direction. In another embodiment the light deflectors are both horizontally and vertically disposed to increase versatility in both appearance and lighting effect. Thus, the lamp shade advantageously allows the light to be directed in accordance with the particular area in which the light fixture is placed, both to shield the user's eyes and to direct light where it is most needed.
