  • Publication number: 20150206248
Abstract: Methods for identifying insurance product offerings from different insurers to present to a user are provided. In one aspect, a method includes receiving user information for a user seeking an insurance product offering, and identifying, based on the user information, at least one insurance product offering from at least one of the plurality of insurers to provide for display in a prioritized insurance policy presentation. The method also includes providing the identification of the at least one insurance product offering from the at least one of the plurality of insurers for display in the prioritized insurance policy presentation. • Patent number: 7255882
Abstract: Benzodiazepine withdrawal induced anxiety is treated by administration of an enkephalinase inhibitor, and a gamma-aminobutyric acid (“GABA”) precursor, or an endorphin or enkephalin releaser. These components promote restoration of normal neurotransmitter function and are non-addictive. Use of the enkephalinase inhibitor D-phenylalanine, the GABA precursor glutamine, the serotonin precursor 5-HTP, glycine, and taurine, in combination with coenzymatic functionality of folic acid is preferred for activation of ligand-gated Cl? channel in the central nervous system. Food supplement embodiments provide the human body nutritional supplements to intake certain neurotransmitter precursor substrates, thereby enabling patients of all ages to self-regulate their ability to quell perturbations to equilibrium and simultaneously to adverse effects upon normal physiological and psychological functioning attributable to induced anxiety and panic associated with benzodiazepine withdrawal.

  • Publication number: 20060253459
Abstract: Techniques for presenting and managing syndication XML (feeds) are disclosed. In one embodiment, a user can modify how a feed is displayed, such as which content (and how much) is displayed, in what order, and how it is formatted. In another embodiment, a modification regarding how a feed is displayed is stored so that it can be used again at a later time. In yet another embodiment, a user can create a custom feed through aggregation and/or filtering of existing feeds. Aggregation includes, for example, merging the articles of multiple feeds to form a new feed. Filtering includes, for example, selecting a subset of articles of a feed based on whether they satisfy a search query. In yet another embodiment, a user can find articles by entering a search query into a search engine that searches feeds, which will identify one or more articles that satisfy the query.

  • Publication number: 20060253489
Abstract: Techniques for detecting, managing, and presenting syndication XML (feeds) are disclosed. In one embodiment, a web browser automatically determines that a web site is publishing feeds and notifies the user, who can then access the feed easily. In another embodiment, a browser determines that a web page or feed is advertising relationship XML, and displays information about the people identified in the relationship XML. In yet another embodiment, a browser determines that a file contains a feed and enables the user to view it in a user-friendly way. In yet another embodiment, feed state information is stored in a repository that is accessible by applications that are used to view the feed. In yet another embodiment, if a feed's state changes, an application notifies the repository, and the state is updated. In yet another embodiment, a feed is parsed and stored in a structured way.

  • Publication number: 20060161638
Abstract: The present invention is a system and method that monitors upgrade availability for computer information on a user's computer and allows the user to determine which of the available upgrades will be downloaded to the user's computer and installed. The upgrade availability for computer information on the user's computer is monitored in the background, without user-intervention when the user connects to a network, such as the Internet. If any such upgrades are available, a flag is set to notify the user of such upgrades. The user is notified of any available upgrades when computer information is accessed for which an upgrade is available, and given a choice of whether or not to download the available upgrade(s). The downloaded upgrade(s) may then be installed by an installation means. In this manner, the present invention allows for the user to download only those upgrades desired by the user.

  • Patent number: 6674808
Abstract: A post-HPA filter rejection equalizer system and method locally equalizes post-HPA filtering. A predistorter (20) uses a phase error to control the predistortion, and an equalizer (46) uses a magnitude error to control the equalization. The equalizer samples the HPA output multiple occurrences in a burst fashion. The equalized signal is then used to determine phase and magnitude errors. The phase errors (54) are used to update the predistorter (20), and the magnitude errors (52) are used to update the analytic equalizer.

  • Patent number: 6190335
Abstract: An orofacial measurement probe for measuring muscle forces within the oral cavity. The probe includes a bite member sized for insertion into the oral cavity and a pressure-sensitive transducer disposed in transducer housing. The bite member is formed with a rigid upper portion, a rigid lower portion and an elastomeric member holding the upper and power portions in spaced-apart relationship to one another. The upper and lower portions are formed and arranged so that together with the elastomeric member they define a hydraulic cavity, which carries a hydraulic fluid. At least one of the upper and lower portions is formed to provide a bite surface sized for engagement by one or more of the patient's teeth. The transducer housing is separate from the bite member and arranged to be external to the oral cavity when the bite member is inserted into the oral cavity.

  • Patent number: 6159506
Abstract: A food supplement compositions combining suitable precursor substrates with folic acid, whereby methionine is produced in sufficient quantity to produce a sufficient quantity of met-enkephalin specially formulated for coping with stressful assaults upon the human body. By a coenzymatic mechanism folic acid effectively accelerates the transformation of a substrate primarily comprising DL-phenylalanine, L-phenylalanine, L-glutamine, and L-tryptophan to met-enkephalin end product. Use of this food supplement enables enkephalins to accumulate within the human hypothalamus, thereby increasing the levels of endogenous opioids. By increasing endogenous opioid levels, the human body is engendered with a self-regulating faculty for coping with stressful assaults upon physiological and psychological equilibrium.

  • Patent number: 4872823
Abstract: Apparatus for forming a concrete panel for constructing a wall of a building in which a reinforcing column of concrete is integrally formed therewith. The apparatus has a hopper in which cement is poured. Depending from the hopper is an inverted U-shaped channel member with depending walls for forming the column. Projecting outwardly from the bottom of the depending walls are flanges. Outboard of the flanges are runners which slide over rails for advancing the apparatus over a rectilinear path.
