    Abstract: A method of making a display assembly includes the steps of (a) attaching a first substrate and a second substrate with an optically clear heat activated adhesive to form a laminate. Each of the first and second substrate has opposing major surfaces. At least one of the first and second substrate has a three dimensional surface topography covering at least a portion of one of its major surfaces or is distortion sensitive. At a heat activation temperature, the adhesive is pressure sensitive. The method also includes heating the laminate to the heat activation temperature of the adhesive causing the adhesive to flow. The activation temperature is greater than 40° C. and less than 120° C.
