  • Publication number: 20210327578
Abstract: The present application presents a methodology that applies reinforcement learning to train a neural network to perform medical triage by analyzing medical evidence of a patient (for instance, obtained via an interface with the patient), assigning a triage level to the patient where sufficient evidence has been obtained to make a reliable triage decision, and requesting more evidence where needed. By learning when to ask for more information and when to make a decision, the neural network can be trained to make quicker decisions on fewer pieces of evidence whilst still ensuring an accurate and safe triage level is determined.

  • Patent number: 10688611
Abstract: A system and method for using a robotic arm and a part gripping jaw to tend a CNC machine. A robotic arm picks up a part gripping jaw and used the jaw to grip a part, and moves the part into a vise in the CNC machine. The part gripping jaw has features which the vise engages, and secures the part in the part gripping jaw for processing in the CNC machine. The system and method includes a novel racking system, robotic end of arm tool, jaw grippers and vise system. The jaw grippers that hold the part are moved from the rack system, with the part to be processed, by the robot, to the vise where the vise uses the jaw grippers to secure the part for processing. After the part is processed, the robot removes the part from the vise with the jaw grippers and stores the part back into the rack system using the jaw grippers.

  • Publication number: 20200095528
Abstract: The ecosystem for methane conversion and emissions reduction disclosed herein presents a low-cost solution to the global methane accumulation problem. Ruminants generate gases as part of their digestive process, including methane, and the negative effects of methane in our atmosphere are well known. Many attempts are underway to use diet modifiers to lessen the amount of methane created and therefore minimize the effect. The presented invention takes a different approach. A methane converter is used in conjunction with a closed system to first transform the methane into the less damaging CO2 and then to use the CO2 for feeding algae growth. Methane at concentration levels in the enclosed habitat are maintained low to minimize the possibility of explosion, and the conversion from methane to CO2 is triggered by heating the low concentration methane with a heated surface or small flame.

  • Patent number: 10157064
Abstract: A method of managing instruction execution for multiple instruction streams using a processor core having multiple parallel instruction execution slices. An event is detected indicating that either resource requirement or resource availability for a subsequent instruction of an instruction stream will not be met by the instruction execution slice currently executing the instruction stream. In response to detecting the event, dispatch of at least a portion of the subsequent instruction is made to another instruction execution slice. The event may be a compiler-inserted directive, may be an event detected by logic in the processor core, or may be determined by a thread sequencer. The instruction execution slices may be dynamically reconfigured as between single-instruction-multiple-data (SIMD) instruction execution, ordinary instruction execution, wide instruction execution.
