Patent number: 11476685Abstract: A method for detecting a fault in a direct current (DC) battery of a pitch system includes receiving, via a server, a plurality of voltage signals of the battery over at least one time period. The method also includes storing, via a database of the server, the plurality of voltage signals of the battery for the predetermined time period. Further, the method includes determining, via the server, a state of the battery as a function of the plurality of voltage signals. When the state of the battery is indicative of a battery fault, the method includes implementing a corrective action for the battery.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2019Date of Patent: October 18, 2022Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventors: Christopher Albert Jordan, Michael James Rizzo, John Joseph Mihok, Frank William Ripple, Jr., Kyle Raymond Barden

Publication number: 20190224057Abstract: A load-carrying system for ascending and descending an obstacle and for connection to a load-carrying device is disclosed. A computer system, with means for receiving data from an obstacle warning system of sensors on the exterior surfaces of an obstacle riser, stores the data in data storage system and signals said device to proceed with ascending or descending the obstacle. The risers follow the up, down or angular movements of a climbing base while a hydraulic beam permits longitudinal movement in combination with the riser.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2018Publication date: July 25, 2019Inventor: Albert Jordan

Patent number: 9560683Abstract: Messages, such as voice messages, are received at a server and processed to generate extracted data that includes text from the message, envelope information, or contact information. The extracted data is transmitted to a device that displays a visual representation that includes some of the extracted data. The visual representation (e.g., an icon) enables the user to visually see what is in a voice message. By selecting a particular visual representation, the corresponding message can be retrieved from the message server and played at the device. In some instances, the message server also transmits an initial segment to the device that can be played by the device as well.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2012Date of Patent: January 31, 2017Assignee: Smith Micro Software, Inc.Inventors: Konstantin Othmer, Albert Jordan

Publication number: 20090306131Abstract: The present invention provides isolated cells that comprise, integrated into the genome of the cell, a transcription-competent immunodeficiency virus or a transcription-competent immunodeficiency virus-based retroviral vector. Under basal in vitro culture conditions, the immunodeficiency virus is latent, and the expression of the latent immunodeficiency virus can be reactivated. The invention farther provides methods of making a subject cell. The invention further provides screening methods for identifying agents that activate a latent immunodeficiency virus; and screening method for identifying agents that block reactivation of latent immunodeficiency virus expression in response to T cell activation signals. The invention further provides agents identified in the subject screening assays. The invention further provides methods of treating an immunodeficiency virus infection.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 29, 2007Publication date: December 10, 2009Inventors: Eric VERDIN, Albert Jordan

Patent number: 5293123Abstract: Disclosed is a circuit configuration that permits the monitoring of the operation of an input/output circuit of a digital unit under test by pseudo-random scan test techniques. A resistive element couples test signals to an input/output terminal of the device under test to which the input/output circuit is connected. The connection between the resistive element and the terminal is monitored during pseudo-random scan testing, permitting testing of the input/output circuitry.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 1992Date of Patent: March 8, 1994Assignee: Tandem Computers IncorporatedInventors: Albert Jordan, Peter L. Patent number: 5132927Abstract: A system for folding the address space of a reserved segment of a high speed memory into a designated part of the address space of a cache memory included in the high speed memory. Folding information for distinguishing between cache entries that have been folded from reserved segments and those that normally map into a designated segment of the high speed memory is stored. The folding information is utilized to determine whether a cache miss occurs when the designated segment of the cache memory is accessed.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 1990Date of Patent: July 21, 1992Assignee: Tandem Computers IncorporatedInventors: Daniel Lenoski, Albert Jordan

Patent number: 4024734Abstract: A yarn fault detector suitable for mounting on a main frame of a knitting machine or on a side creel. The detector has two yarn guides on a guide frame that is biased to an operative yarn guiding position but movable overcenter to a yarn releasing position. End portions of a freely pivotable stop bar contact the yarn guides in the operative position of the guide frame to assure adequate contact with both guides. A variable bias is applied to the guide frame by means of a loop of flexible material on a rotary shaft, and a spring under tension between the loop and an eccentric cranked portion of the guide frame, the tension being dependent on the length of the loop wrapped around the shaft by rotation of the shaft. The loop and shaft are made by a one-piece moulding operation.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 1975Date of Patent: May 24, 1977Assignee: Trip-Lite Ltd.Inventor: Kenneth Albert Jordan
