  • Patent number: 8697041
Abstract: A shampoo composition is described which includes from 1 to 25% by weight of mild surfactants, from 0.001 to 5% by weight of citrus fibers, from 0.01 to 5% by weight of anti-dandruff zinc salts, and a cosmetically acceptable carrier. The citrus fibers help structure the composition to maintain phase stability, provide appropriate viscosity and achieve deposition of the anti-dandruff zinc salts.

  • Publication number: 20100062961
Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions, especially pastes/creams which have high level of long chain lipids or lipid mimics. These help provide “creaminess”, a desirable rheological characteristic. This is seen from defined viscosity values which define the pastes. In addition, unpredictably, when used in combination with short chain phase inducers, foam values are adequate when it would be expected the lipids would decrease foam. The composition also retains stability from physical separation.

  • Patent number: 6764991
Abstract: Mild toilet bar compositions are described that contain synthetic surfactants, moisturizers and exfoliant particles where 25% or more of the particles have a major axis length of between 100 and 600 microns. The combination of the mild surfactants, moisturizers, and exfoliants provide the user with simultaneous moisturization and exfoliation.

  • Patent number: 6383999
Abstract: The present invention relates to a multiphase cleansing bar having a plurality of phases of cleansing material. Adjacent phases preferably have different concentration levels of benefit components respectively and all the phases individually preferably have a substantially similar cleansing base consisting of a syndet base, a soap base, or mixtures thereof. These benefit components are emollients, moisturizers, nutrients, anti-aging materials etc. Segregation of the benefit rich component is expected to result in improved deposition of the benefit components on the skin during the product application, which improves the moisture barrier properties of the skin. Chemical and Theological compatibility between the phases is maximized and recycling of the product during production is facilitated with the use of a uniform cleansing base. Methods of producing the inventive bar by extruding and melt casting are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5786312
Abstract: The present invention is directed to mixed fatty acid soap based bar compositions, which may include synthetic surfactants as co-actives, wherein relatively small amounts of specified polyoxyethylene-polypropylene nonionic polymer has been found to enhance mildness and reduced mush of bar compositions without sacrificing the user properties and processability of the formulations.

  • Patent number: 5750489
Abstract: The present invention relates to liquid detergent compositions comprising substantially linear, water soluble, highly salt-tolerant non-adsorbing, ionic polymers of MW 10,000 to 1,000,000 Daltons which, when added in defined minimum levels to structured heavy duty liquids, make the liquids highly shear thinning without decreasing pour viscosity of the composition or increasing it to a point where it is too thick. The compositions are also stable.
