Abstract: Methods and systems for multi-screen media authoring include displaying an integrated graphical user interface with a timeline for first screen linear time-based media editing and a second timeline for editing second screen content associated with the first screen content. Second screen content includes a sequence of modules that involve active viewer interaction and/or passive consumption. The display of the first and second timelines are temporally aligned with each other, and enable time-line-based editing of second screen content synchronized to the first screen. Selection of a second screen module on the second timeline invokes an editing environment corresponding to the type of module selected. Integrated monitors show end user or proxy views of first and second screen content corresponding to the first and second timelines respectively.

Abstract: Systems and methods for concurrently displaying two different 2D video programs on a screen of a stereoscopic 3D-enabled video viewing system. A control unit switches active shutter glasses in synchrony with the display of frames on the display screen, such that both shutters are open when frames corresponding to a first program are displayed, and both shutters are closed when frames corresponding to a second program are displayed, so that a viewer wearing the glasses sees only the first program. For higher refresh rate displays, more than two different programs can be displayed concurrently by interleaving the display of frames from more than two programs. Multiple viewers, each with a pair of active shutter glasses, can each independently choose the program they wish to watch on the single display screen. This viewing mode may leverage the 3D broadcast content delivery chain, or alternatively use appropriately encoded video stored on DVD, hard disk, or other storage.

Abstract: A computer system for editing temporal media, such as audio, video, audiovisual works and the like, limits the editing operations that can be performed on the temporal media according to the digital rights management metadata associated with the temporal media. The digital rights management metadata may be, for example, rules associated with the temporal media which describe how the temporal media can be imported into the editing system, manipulated by the editing system and/or exported by the editing system.

Abstract: A hand held logic probe serially clocks applied data bits into a shift register in response to a user actuated thumb switch. The shift register is coupled to a hexidecimal/octal converter which drives a digital display. The display is reset in response to the user actuating the thumb switch for more than a predetermined time period.
