  • Patent number: 9764612
Abstract: A damper absorbs energy generated between a first component and a second component. The second component is spaced from and moveable toward the first component along a jounce axis. The damper includes a body having a ring-shaped configuration. The body also includes a first edge for engaging the first component and a second edge for engaging the second component. The second edge is spaced from the first edge. The body defines a plurality of holes spaced about the body. The plurality of holes are configured to allow the damper to compress axially for energy as one of the first and second components move along the jounce axis.

  • Patent number: 7364680
Abstract: A method of forming a plurality of components comprising the steps of: closing a pair of mold halves to define a mold chamber; filling the mold chamber with a material about an armature; curing the material within the mold chamber to create a stack of material; moving a mold half to open the mold chamber; removing the armature from the stack of material to define a cavity disposed within the stack of material and at least one opening disposed in an exterior surface; and cutting the stack of material through the cavity to form at least two components with each of the components having a common configuration.
