  • Publication number: 20140089126
Abstract: An online auction system includes a set of memory resources that store auction data and one or more processors. The one or more processors implement multiple auction forums for transacting a corresponding set of assets. The one or more processors enable a registrant to participate in any of the multiple auction forums by providing the registrant with multiple interfaces to prompt the user for input or action. In some embodiments, the one or more processors provide an entity type interface to prompt the registrant to declare an entity type of the registrant. The one or more processors operate to determine a set of requirements for the registrant based at least in part on (i) a type designation provided by the user, and (ii) a geographic region of one or more assets that are being transacted by the multiple auction forums.

  • Patent number: 8541543
Abstract: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the fourth leading cause of cancer death worldwide. Novel treatment strategies derived from increased knowledge of molecular oncology are constantly being developed to cure this disease. Here, we used phage display to identify novel peptides, including (SP94), which binds specifically to HCC cells. In vitro, the phage clone PC94 binds to HCC cell lines. In vivo, PC94 homed specifically to tumor tissues but not to normal visceral organs in SCID mice bearing human HCC xenografts. The homing ability could be competitively inhibited by synthetic peptide, SP94. PC94 localized to tumor tissues but could not be detected in SP94-competed tumor tissues or in normal organs. In addition, PC94 recognized the tumor tissue but not non-tumor tissue in surgical specimens from HCC patients, with a positive rate of 61.3% (19/31).

  • Publication number: 20050214066
Abstract: A striding shank fixing device includes an insert tube, a guide tube, and an adjusting member. The guide tube has plural position holes, and the adjusting member has a hole for the guide tube to pass through and a position projection to fit in one of the position holes to secure the adjusting member with the guide tube at an adjusted location. A thumb screw screws through the adjusting member to press a driving strip to push forcefully against a vertical side of a wall to secure the shank fixing device striding on the wall so the shank of a parasol may be inserted in the insert tube and stabilized by a thumb screw screwing through the insert tube and pressing against a driving block in the insert tube and pressing against the shank to support the parasol stably.

  • Publication number: 20050045218
Abstract: A connector for a rib and a spreader of a parasol includes a metal connector body and an inner block made of plastic. The connector body has an upper clamp portion for each rib to fit therein, and two studs extending down from the connector body and defining an inner opening for the inner block to fit therein. The inner block has two side walls defining an inner opening as a turning passageway for each spreader to fit and connected pivotally, and a stop respectively in two sides of the passageway for stopping each spreader in case of collapsing the parasol. Then the side walls can prevent the connector body from contacting the shank to scrape the paint coated on the shank and prevent said shank from rusting. Further the stops can maintain the contained angle between each rib and each spreader not excessively small to permit the parasol easily expanded.

  • Patent number: 5996065
Abstract: A microprocessor having a pipelined floating point unit operable to bypass pre-rounded results at clock cycle i and provide the pre-rounded results as an operand for a second instruction at clock cycle i+2. In one embodiment, the pipelined execution unit includes at least a first execution step at clock cycle i, and a second execution step at a clock cycle i+1 and clock cycle i+2. The unit includes a bypass leading from the first execution step at clock cycle i, however, there is no bypass leading from the second execution step at clock cycle i+1. The bypass carries the pre-rounded results from the end of the first execution step to the front end of the pipeline via a latched data path which delays the pre-rounded result one clock cycle.
