  • Publication number: 20160189182
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to audience measurement, and, more particularly, to correcting age misattribution in media impressions. An example method involves predicting a first age probability density function for an audience member at a first time, the first age probability density function indicative of a first probability that the audience member is in a first age range at the first time. The example method also involves, in response to receiving media monitoring data associated with the subscriber at a second time after the first time, determining a second age probability density function by applying a first aging factor to the first age probability density function for the audience member, the second age probability density function indicative of a second probability that the audience member is in the first age range at the second time, and associating the media monitoring data with the second age probability density function.

  • Publication number: 20150381490
Abstract: Example methods and apparatus to measure market statistics are disclosed. A disclosed example method includes identifying, by executing an instruction with a processor, a household including self reported data stored in a data source, retrieving, by executing an instruction with the processor, an Internet protocol (IP) address from the household, identifying, by executing an instruction with the processor, a hostname label based on a reverse resolve of the IP address, determining whether the hostname label matches the self reported data, with the processor, and when the hostname label matches the self reported data, correcting, by executing an instruction with the processor, an error metric of the data source by adjusting a weight value associated with the self reported data.

  • Patent number: 9129293
Abstract: Example methods and apparatus to measure market statistics are disclosed. A disclosed example method includes retrieving a service penetration value from a managed data source, retrieving an Internet protocol (IP) address from a convenience data source, and identifying a household identification number associated with the retrieved IP address. The example method also includes retrieving household data associated with the household identification number, verifying a service provider name provided by the convenience data source, and adjusting a weight value of the retrieved household data when the service provider name provided by the convenience data source is different than a current service provider name. Additionally, the example method includes calculating service provider flow share based on the adjusted weight value and the service penetration value, and generating a report including the calculated service provider flow share.

  • Publication number: 20150047990
Abstract: Described herein is an apparatus and methods for characterizing a fluid composition including exposing electrolyte to one fluid mixture, collecting a signal from an electrode in contact with the electrolyte, and simultaneously exposing the electrolyte to a second fluid, collecting a signal from a second electrode in contact with the electrolyte exposed to the second fluid, and comparing the signal difference between the electrodes with the Nerst equation wherein the temperature of the electrolyte is above 488° C. Carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and/or oxygen may be present in the fluid and/or the second fluid.

  • Publication number: 20130173414
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided for customizing collections of products. A first user selects a subset of products for customization, and subsequently causes those products to be customized. The first user may place limitations on further customization of the subset of products. A second user associated with the customized products further customizes those products. The further customization may be restricted by the limitations imposed by the first user.

  • Patent number: 8256865
Abstract: An indication is received of a vacuum source level measured by a vacuum sensor in a printing device. The vacuum level is associated with a pulse-width modulation (PWM) level for a PWM controller. The measured vacuum level is compared to an expected vacuum level. The PWM level of the PWM controller is adjusted in view of the comparison to achieve a virtual PWM level.

  • Patent number: 7946700
Abstract: A wet ink printer uses a heated printhead. A platen guides and supports the print medium during printing, and has a plurality of raised ribs. In an example, the ribs extend on the base generally along the advance direction of the print media. Each rib comprises a discontinuous series of rib portions, and wherein between each adjacent pair of ribs is provided a spacing to allow deformation of the print medium towards the platen base.

  • Publication number: 20100030841
Abstract: User groups (also known as communities) on the Internet, especially in social webs, can be structured through relationships of inheritance and association between them with the result that their content and services can be shared across these relationships in an automatic process. Thereto, the user groups comprise relationship configurations, defining if information of a certain type should be received from or sent to other user groups.
