  • Publication number: 20240103698
Abstract: In some implementations, a user device may present, on a user interface (UI) associated with a user account, a first UI element. The user device may detect a user interaction, with the user device, indicating the first UI element. The user device may present, on the UI and based on the user interaction, a second UI element, which increases in length in a first direction from a start point, along a closed path around the first UI element and ending at the start point, while the user interaction is being detected. The second UI element completes the closed path when an interaction duration satisfies a duration threshold, which indicates a confirmation of a request for an action associated with the user account. The duration threshold is based on one or more parameters associated with one or more of the action, the user account, or the user interaction.

  • Patent number: 10684087
Abstract: A handgun sear has a sear body extending between a proximal end portion to a distal end portion. The sear defines a first engagement surface adjacent the proximal end portion and a second engagement surface positioned distally of the first engagement surface. The sear can pivot about the distal end portion between a cocked position and a displaced position. The second engagement surface can be used to arrest forward movement of the striker in the event of an impulse that causes the striker to disengage from the first engagement surface. The sear may be incorporated into a fire control assembly of a semiautomatic handgun or other firearm.

  • Patent number: 8550517
Abstract: A telescopic barrel lifting attachment device which includes a parallelepiped body, a plate member disposed perpendicularly thereto on each end of the body, a pair of slide bars disposed on each side of the body having a channel therebetween through which the body slides, a concave clamp assembly disposed on a bottom end of each plate member, and a cable having external ends attached to the plate members. As the cable is raised and alternately is lowered by a hoist, the cable pulls the clamp assemblies inwardly toward and alternately allows the clamp assemblies to move away from each other to secure and move and alternately release a barrel in a desired location.

  • Patent number: 6749640
Abstract: A lower platform and an upper platform are connected first and second levers having different lengths, each lever being articulated about a first axis on said lower platform and a second axis on said upper platform. The upper platform can be swiveled from a rest position to a position of maximum excursion relative to the lower platform so that the distance between platforms is immediately reduced upon swiveling from the rest position. At least one axis is provided with a brake which slows down rotational movement.

  • Patent number: 6243360
Abstract: A communications network including a server having multiple entry ports and a plurality of workstations dynamically balances inbound and outbound to/from the server thereby reducing network latency and increasing network throughput. Workstations send data packets including network destination addresses to a network switch. A header is prepended to the data packet, the header identifying a switch output or destination port for transmitting the data packet to the network destination address. The network switch transfers the data packet from the switch input port to the switch destination output port whereby whenever the switch receives a data packet with the server address, the data packet is routed to any available output port of the switch that is connected to a Network Interface Card in the server. The switch includes circuitry for removing the routing header prior to the data packet exiting the switch.

  • Patent number: 6009092
Abstract: A LAN switch architecture has a hybrid switch fabric which combines crossbar and time division multiplexed bus architecture and allows next-available transmit channel routing and associative output-port routing. The LAN switch architecture has multiple port groups with multiple device ports, a switching fabric for facilitating communication between device ports in different port groups and a controller for controlling the switching fabric. Each of the multiple port groups comprises a communication channel for interconnecting the port group to the switching fabric.

  • Patent number: 4114704
Abstract: A turbo drill which is connected to a string of drill pipe as a rotating shaft for driving a drill bit which may be a rotary bit or a high speed solid head diamond bit. The turbine section has rotor and stator blades which are cresent shaped in cross section with each blade having an exit angle of 14.degree. - 23.degree. for maximum turbine efficiency. The bearing shaft is provided with chevron rotary seals positioned below the rotary bearings carrying both radial and vertical thrust. Fluid lubricant fills the space from the rotary seals to a predetermined level above the bearings. A piston seals the lubricant chamber and is pressurized by drilling fluid (i.e. mud) flowing through the tool. A layer of lubricant fluid overlies the first piston and has a second piston covering said fluid and transmitting pressure from the drilling fluid to the lubricant fluid surrounding the bearings.
