    Abstract: A bookmark is disclosed which automatically holds a reader's place in a book. The bookmark has a clip which attaches to the book, a marker extending from the outside of the book inward towards the spine, and a side-piece connecting the clip and the marker. The bookmark may be made from plastic or metal. An alternative embodiment wherein the clip is a flexible wire or spring-loaded clamp is also disclosed.
