  • Patent number: 5083727
Abstract: An aircraft cabin system is provided in an aircraft for selectively locating interior units such as galleys and lavatories. The system includes floor fittings in the wall panels that secure the units to seat tracks that run the length of the fuselage. Some units are provided with tie-down bars that are secured to overhead frame fittings that are located throughout the aircraft. Electrical, water, and air utility services are provided through separate distribution lines that extend through the aircraft. The distribution lines are provided with spaced-apart couplings so that wherever an interior unit is located, it can be provided with services through adjacent couplings. Galley waste water is stored in a tank built into a food storage cart that is normaly attached to the galley. The lavatories are attached to a collection system that includes a set of modular and telescoping pipe sections which are assembled to length needed to connect the lavatories to a set of holding tanks.

  • Patent number: 4474440
Abstract: The slide projector includes side-by-side image-projection systems and a circular slide tray, with slides passing in operation directly between the slide tray and either of two slide gates, the slide gates moving between a first position in which slides are acquired and released, and a second position in which slides are projected onto a screen. A slide lifter, a slide tray lock, slide clamps on each slide gate, and the slide gates are operated in a particular sequence relative to the movement of the slide tray to insure proper handling of the slides in the projector. The slide tray fits on a central hub which in turn is independently driven. Sensors are provided to continuously detect the position of the lifter, the slide gates, and the slide tray. A front end assembly which incorporates lenses which move laterally and vertically, with the longitudinal axes of the lenses remaining parallel at all times, provides precise image alignment, including image overlap and separation.

  • Patent number: 4024209
Abstract: A mold cavity is only partially filled with nuclear fuel particles and is closed. The volume of the cavity is then reduced until the fuel particles substantially fill the mold cavity. The mold may be heated and a fluid solidifiable binder injected into the mold cavity to fill the interstices between the fuel particles while the cavity volume is further decreased during injection of the binder to avoid formation of voids. Flow of excess binder through an upper vent passage assures complete filling of the cavity.
