  • Publication number: 20190319525
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to several embodiments or variations of a power generation system. Several of these variations use the same power generators and also include one or more prime movers that supply mechanical power to the generators. In a first embodiment of the power generation system, two single drive through-shaft generators adapted to produce electric power are configured to be driven by a common prime mover. In a second, alternative embodiment of the power generation system, a plurality of generators is arranged into first and second generator groups. Each of the first and second generator groups is operably associated with an independent motor, which allows the power output to be controlled via adjustment to the applied power of the independent motors.

  • Publication number: 20120144774
Abstract: A fire rated wall structure includes a channel-shaped top track and bottom track each having male protrusions formed along their side walls. The wall structure further includes at least one stud member interconnecting the top and bottom tracks. The stud member comprises a stationary portion and a slip extension slidably nested within the stationary portion. Female recesses are formed in a terminus end of each of the slip extension and stationary portion and are adapted to nest with male protrusions of the top and bottom tracks. A slot formed within the slip extension accommodates fasteners initiated from a panel member and which passes through the stationary portion side wall and extends into the slot to allow relative sliding motion between the slip extension and the stud member. A top overcap disposed in overlapping relation to the top track includes a male protrusion for slidingly bearing against the panel member.

  • Publication number: 20090293405
Abstract: A method for forming a joining profile in a structural member comprises providing an assembly having a base member, a forming body and a pair of side anvils having profiles formed therewithin. The method further comprises mounting the structural member on the base member, advancing the forming body toward the structural member such that the structural member is clamped to the base member, urging the side anvils toward flanges of the structural member, forming a profile in each of the flanges, and engaging protrusions of the side anvils with the web such that opposing portions of the web are forced upwardly by the protrusions at locations adjacent to each one of the flange profiles in order to accommodate formation of the flange profiles in the structural member. Formation of the joining profiles in the structural members allows for detachable engagement thereof with another member having a corresponding mating profile.
