  • Patent number: 4482380
Abstract: Aqueous solutions containing phosphate, aluminum and iron are evaporated. Thus, acidic phosphates having an atomic ratio Al:Fe of 95:5 to 5:95 and an atomic ratio P:(Al+Fe) of 1.1:1 to 3:1 are obtained. These are thermally treated by heating them in a first step to a temperature not exceeding 400.degree. C. until their weight remains constant, and in a second step to a temperature not exceeding 750.degree. C., likewise until their weight remains constant. The tempered phosphate so obtained is suitable as hardener for water glass cements.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 13, 1982
Date of Patent: November 13, 1984
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventor: Albert Schlegel
  • Patent number: 4165313
Abstract: A process is disclosed for deodorizing protein hydrolysates which are used for making air foam. Protein is hydrolyzed by known methods in the absence of heavy metal salts. Then an epoxide is added until blackening occurs when a spot-test is carried out with lead acetate paper.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 2, 1977
Date of Patent: August 21, 1979
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Albert Schlegel, Peter Wirtz
  • Patent number: 4083933
Abstract: Crystalline AlH.sub.3 (PO.sub.4).sub.2 .multidot.3H.sub.2 O is obtained from an aqueous solution of aluminum phosphate containing a molar ratio of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 :P.sub.2 O.sub.5 of from 1:2 to 1:6 and an organic solvent that is miscible with water. Crystallization is enhanced by the addition of AlH.sub.3 (PO.sub.4).sub.2 .multidot.3H.sub.2 O seed crystals to the aqueous solution. The product is useful in reducing the setting time of hydraulic binders.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 1, 1976
Date of Patent: April 11, 1978
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventor: Albert Schlegel
  • Patent number: 4021528
Abstract: Crystalline AlH.sub.3 (PO.sub.4).sub.2.3H.sub.2 O is obtained from an aqueous solution of aluminum phosphate containing a molar ratio of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 :P.sub.2 O.sub.5 of from 1:2 to 1:6 and an organic solvent that is miscible with water. The product is useful in diminishing the setting time of hydraulic binders.
