  • Patent number: 5929998
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for matching a color formulation to a color shade model in the field of a color- and/or effect-imparting surface coating. The reflecting surface of a color shade, which is to be rematched, of a colored surface coating is determined metrologically over the visible spectral region using a goniometric spectral photometer with variation of the angle of measurement. The associated standard tristimulus values and/or the vectors in the CIELAB color solid which are derived therefrom are calculated from the measured reflection factors or spectral energy factors. Those formulations and/or color shades which exhibit reflection properties or properties derived therefrom which are the most similar to the measured color shade model are subsequently identified from a formulation database by means of the reflection spectra or the calorimetric dimensional numbers derived therefrom.

  • Patent number: 4097078
Abstract: A door-lock assembly for an automotive vehicle comprises a key member on a post of the vehicular frame which upon closure of the door slides into a keyway of a keeper on the outer door surface, this key member coacting directly or through the intermediary of a locking fork with a swingable catch controlled by a latch mechanism within the door. A lock housing, containing the latch mechanism, is separated from the keeper by a door panel, the lock housing and the keeper being interconnected by screws passing through the panel. Within the keeper at least one of the screws is surrounded by a stationary sleeve forming the pivot for the catch; the locking fork, if provided, is pivoted on another such sleeve.

  • Patent number: 3997202
Abstract: A door-lock assembly for an automotive vehicle comprises a locking wedge on a post of the vehicular frame which upon closure of the door slides into a keeper on the outer door surface, this wedge being engageable by a pivoted catch in the keeper under the control of a latch mechanism within the door. Vertical play between the wedge and a guide channel of the keeper is equalized by a central wedge body of plastic material bearing elastically upon opposite edges of the channel through a pair of metallic yokes or by resilient tongues integral with that body.
