Abstract: The invention relates to electronic currency transactions, facilitated by electronic equivalents of checks and credit/debit cards. The electronic equivalents are encrypted tokens, which are data units suitable for storage in and transfer between participants' data storage devices. The invention provides an electronic payment system having Check- and Card-Issuing Authorities that are coupled to a token-generating server. Electronic checks and credit/debit cards, backed by correspondent Check- and Card-Issuing Authorities, are generated and issued to subscribing customers as issuance tokens. A plurality of token-generating devices are used by participants to generate payment tokens authorized by the issuance tokens, and to perform electronic check and card transactions by exchanging tokens with other participants and participating Financial Institutions.

Abstract: An electronic currency system having Currency Issuing Authorities that are coupled to a money generator device for generating and issuing to subscribing customers electronic currency backed by correspondent Currency Issuing Authorities and participating Financial Institutions that accept and distribute the electronic money; a plurality of devices that are used by subscribers for storing electronic money and for performing money transactions with other participants and participating Currency Issuing Authorities and Authorized Financial Institutions, for exchanging electronic money with other like transactions; and verification arrangement for maintaining the integrity of the system, and for detecting counterfeiting and tampering within the system. The electronic currency consists of data in a form suitable to be stored in a participant's data storage medium, comprising information on the currency value, authentication values, certificate chain, and identification of the participants' devices.

Abstract: A system and a method for electronic commerce allowing consumers to centrally receive and send electronic data from multiple merchants. The system includes a central server having software which gathers the electronic data including emails and event notifications from member merchants directed to consumers accounts who maintain and register accounts on a centralized server. The system provides a web-based browser interface through which the consumer is able to view and edit the information in the database, to exert control over what information is made available to each merchant, and to view emails and event notifications directed to the consumer's account on the server.

The card is wallet-size and preferably the strips run parallel to the lengthwise dimension of the card and the barcodes printed on the free space not occupied by the magnetic recording material. Abstract: A method for application localization support on Web applications includes retrieving a locale database from a server, translating text strings using the locale database and optionally a locale electronic translation dictionary, and formatting text strings using format strings retrieved from the locale database. The method also includes the extraction of localized resources as prompt statements and localized images from the database and providing the resources to the application. After defining localization parameters and localized data and storing the parameters and data in a database, support for new localization, or modification and maintenance of existing localization, may be done through adding or manipulating of the data in the database.

Abstract: A multi account security verification system, which consists off a virtual account card and a central authentication enterprise. The cardholder is able to select one of the real accounts belonging to the account owner by adding control digits to the virtual account number. The real account is retrieved from the Central Authentication Enterprise by accessing the virtual account number record stored in a system database thereby retrieving the selected real account number associated with the control digits and the virtual account number.
