  • Publication number: 20070170680
Abstract: An active chassis system of a motor vehicle, in particular a passenger vehicle having two axles with two wheels each. Each wheel is supported on the vehicle body via a spring element and a hydraulic piston-cylinder unit acting as a damper and as a hydraulic actuator for introducing additional force between the wheel and the body. A hydraulic supply line is assigned to each of the working chambers of the actuator, such that each working chamber is supplied with hydraulic pressure from a delivery pump. The working chambers of two actuators of a vehicle axle having the smaller cross-sectional area are connected directly to one another, and a directional valve is used for the roll control mode of operation. The directional valve is a pilot-operated directional valve whose control pressure is tapped in parallel with a controllable throttle.

  • Patent number: 6550788
Abstract: An electromechanical stabilizer for the chassis of a vehicle, particularly a motor vehicle, is provided having an actuator which is integrated between two stabilizer halves and, as required, rotates the two stablizer halves with respect to one another by a rotation angle. The actuator consists of an electric motor as well as of a transmission connected to the output side of this electric motor. The transmission has a transmission ratio which changes as a function of the angle of rotation. The transmission is designed such that the smallest possible transmission ratio occurs in the neutral position while the stabilizer halves are not rotated with respect to one another. For large angles of rotation, this transmission ratio changes in the “infinite” direction. The transmission having a variable transmission ratio can be constructed for example, as a hypocycloidal transmission with linear guides or as an eccentric transmission.

  • Publication number: 20030047898
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic stabilizing system, particularly for a chassis of a vehicle, which has a tank for hydraulic fluid and a pump which are connected by way of corresponding hydraulic lines with front and rear axle actuators, a directional valve being connected in front of the actuators, and the pressure at the front axle actuator being controllable such that it is greater than or equal to the pressure at the rear axle actuator. The invention is characterized in that, between the directional valve for the front axle actuator and the pump, a fail-safe valve is provided and, between the fail-safe valve and the directional valve in the front axle forward flow line, a pressure sensor is provided.
