  • Patent number: 7265767
Abstract: A ribbon shield for a time clock may be provided which may be placed within a printing chamber along with a printing mechanism. The ribbon shield may also incorporate a light source (e.g., electroluminescent lamp) to illuminate the printing chamber and an inserted time card to aid an employee in aligning a time slot of the time card to a printing mechanism target area.

Date of Patent: September 4, 2007
Inventors: Scott Forest, Albert Van Grouw, III
  • Publication number: 20060209100
Abstract: A printer cartridge may define an internal cavity. The cartridge may have a body and a cover defining the internal cavity, and a light source may be disposed inside of the cartridge internal cavity. The light source may shine light through a notch formed in the body to illuminate a time card inserted into a time card time slot of a time clock. The light source may also shine light through an arrow shaped aperture to direct an employee that the appropriate time slot of the time card should be aligned under the arrow such that the printing mechanism may print the current time to the aligned time slot.

  • Patent number: 7037011
Abstract: A tape ribbon cartridge and method are provided for regulating printer operation of a printer operative to transmit a download signal. The cartridge includes a housing, an ink ribbon, and a data communication component. The ink ribbon is disposed within the housing. The data communication component is disposed upon the housing and includes operational information being representative of at least one attribute of the ink ribbon. The data communication component is operative to receive the download signal and to provide the operational information to the printer in response thereto. The operational information is receivable by the printer and is utilizable to determine the printer operation.

  • Patent number: 6263900
Abstract: A gas feed system for supplying a gas such as chlorine to a water system for chlorinating the water. The gas feed system includes multiple containers and provides for automatic switch over from one container to a second container once the first container is empty and such that the first containers can be completely emptied. The invention also includes a gas feed regulator for controlling the supply of gas from a container such as a chlorine cylinder, the regulator having a simplified construction.

  • Patent number: 5869342
Abstract: A method for determining the amount of residual disinfectant removing agent in a process stream to which the disinfectant removing agent has been added to completely remove a disinfectant residual, comprising the steps of: (a) drawing off a sample of the process stream; (b) mixing an acidic iodate solution and an iodide solution to produce an iodine analyzing agent; (c) adding to the sample the iodine analyzing agent in an amount sufficient to react with the residual disinfectant removing agent and leave an unreacted amount of residual iodine; (d) allowing sufficient time for the iodine to react with the residual disinfectant removing agent; (e) analyzing the sample to determine the amount of residual iodine remaining in the sample, and (f) determining the amount of residual disinfectant removing agent in the sample based on the amount of iodine analyzing agent added and the amount of residual iodine remaining in the sample after reaction.
